The old Tahoe was about as aerodynamic as a brick, So major changes started there. The very first thing you will notice is no more 80's styled chrome bumpers, the windshield glass has more slope, the front end is reshaped, and the grille and bumper now work as a single aero-designed unit with few panel gaps (Similar design to Large Import SUV's like the QX56, 4Runner and the LX470) Likewise, same changes went into designing the rear fascia, smoothing out the mirrors, and lower front air dam improved the overall drag by almost 12 percent. The 5.3 Liter V8 engine gets 20+MPG and has the most horsepower in its class. Even more critical changes came in the interior. Materials have been significantly improved as well as tighter gaps all around. Gauges have LED back-lighting, DVD navigation with Back up camera, Rear DVD entertainment, Leather upholstery throughout, wood trim, Power windows, locks, heated seats and a Power rear tailgate are just some of the features inside.
