We purchased it from a local fleet lease company. It was used in Southern Wyoming to haul the worker bees to and from job sites. The van has just 47K original miles. It's a hard to find V10 model which you rarely see any more. If you're hauling a full load up any hills the 5.8 motor is just not big enough and diesel 15 pass vans are even more elusive than the V10s. This van runs and drives very well. It's been serviced regularly by a fleet company and reasonably well kept for a workhorse. It now has brand new tires, we just did all upper and lower ball joints and had it aligned. (Typical Ford 1-ton) It's been detailed, serviced and needs nothing to get right to work. This is probably the only 47k mile 05 Ford 15 pass for sale under 10k anywhere, good truck, lots of life left! exterior The paint and body on this vehicle are presentable for work. It has had some minor damage repaired in places and the rockers have been shot with rock guard to prevent chipping on dirt roads. It matches the paint and most people wouldn't really notice. There's nicks, dings, scratches about the body consistent with a work vehicle. It has some pitting/road wear on the front end, and a few of the doors can be a tiny bit sticky. (You can see a little grease overspray on the rear hinges outside from my mechanic. We've cleaned them up though.) The tires as mentioned are brand new. The windshield is good, no cracks. There's no rust, hail damage, or otherwise problems. It's an affordable van, not a new van. interior The interior is about the same. It's a base XL model. When it gets dirty, just open'r up and hose it down. Everything is plastic and vinyl. The vehicle has wear in the door jambs from dirt roads and the entry steps from people getting in and out. The upholstery is all pretty fair. We did have to replace some panels that were torn, looks fine for work. It's simple inside, not much to break. The radio works and it has front/rear air. There is wear about the rest of the interior and a bit of dust in some of the corners/edging. mechanical This van runs out great, definitely the strong point. The Ford V10s are extremely durable. We buy a fair amount of V10s and Diesels, be it the 7.3 or 6.0 or 6.4....We routinely have fewer problems with the 200k mile V10s than the diesels, awesome motor. This guy came in with a bit of added play in the steering, so we did ball joints upper and lower on both sides and had it aligned. This is not easy or cheap, but it's nice to have done and makes all the difference. The oil and filter are new and transmission fluid came in looking nice. There's a bit of seepage underneath, not drippy wet, but a little crusty. The motor is quiet and smooth, no warning lights on the dash, no hiccups. There's no reason you can't drive this guy anywhere, so fly in and drive home if you like. It has a long ways to go yet. comments Again, solid van, presentable condition, fantastic price.
