1985 Cj 7 For sale is a nice 1985 Cj 7, I bought this in the summer of 2010 off a guy in NJ I had big plans for the jeep but never got around to doing anything with it. When i bought the Jeep it had Trannsmission issues not sure if its somthing stupid or not, just never had a chance to check it out, plus it don't know much about trannys. Other then the tranny issue the jeep needs nothing else its in overall pretty nice shape. Motor : 258 inline 6 cylinder, Holley carb , Everlast battary Motor starts and runs fine no knoking or smoking. I was told from preveious owner that motor was rebuilt and currently has 16,000 miles on it. I have no documation to prove that, the milage on the speedomator is 85,500 Trannsmission : Automatic (unsure which model it is) The trannsmission is broke the jeep will not move no matter what gear you put it in, not sure if its the tranny pump or linkage that might need adjustment. I bought the jeep this way with the intentions on fixing it, but never got around to it. Body : (Steel) Including the Hood, Fenders and Windshield frame Overall the body is in good shape there are some areas where the paint is blistering, I pulled the carpet up to check the floor on the driver and passanger side and found some surface rust nothing that could not be fixed. Interior : Has grey carpet, seat covers over the driver and passanger seat due to them both having rips in the seat, rear seat is n very good shape no rips or tears, Dash pad has is cracked in some areas from the sun, all gauges work , Grant steering wheel and tilt steering wheel colum. Frame : Good shape, I checked the rear by the gas tank where they always rust out and it didn't look to bad, one small area on each side where it was starting to rust through other then that the rest of the frame is in good shape Axels : Amc 20 rear / Amc 30 front unsure the gear ratio Tires : Dunlop 31 /10.5/ R15 80% tread Rims : Eagle Alloy Top : Fiberglass Hard top and Steel door When i bought the jeep the seller signed off on the title and i never switched the title into my name its still a NJ title all you would have to do is sign as the buyer. Also the jeep would need to be trailered due to the tranny being broke. The jeep is for sale localy so i due reserve the right to end this auction at any tim.
