For sale is a beautiful 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air 2-door hardtop coupe. It received a frame-off restoration in the 1990’s and it hails originally from Oakland, California. This lovely Chevy has been restored according to the numbers. The Highland Green body and Seafoam top color scheme shines as good as it did back in the day. The interior is near perfect with the exception of a small blemish on the rear headliner. The tires are new. It is virtually rust-free and it has been a California car since birth. The chrome is good, but not perfect. Upgrades include an HEI electronic distributor and a flex fan to keep it cool in stop and go traffic. This Chevy comes with a rebuilt small-block 283 V-8, Powerglide 2-speed transmission, and a two-barrel carburetor (rebuilt). It is currently running perfectly and I would not hesitate to drive it cross country. In fact, I would love to as long as you pay for my gas and a plane ticket back. The speedometer needs replacing and the fuel gauge works intermittently. In the glove box is a CD player with an auxiliary input (MP3, Ipod). Registration is current. It also comes with unpainted fender skirts. All bidders are reminded that regardless of how nice a classic car looks, it is not like new. This car is in older restored condition, but not perfect. Expect a certain amount of wear, use, and flaws as is typical on ANY used car. All cars including this one have nicks, chips, scratches and other marks associated with use and consistent with the age or mileage of the vehicle. Obviously a car that is over 50 years old will show more wear and tear than one that is 2 or 10 years old. But as the pictures tell, this one is very presentable and the two-tone color scheme is not typical. It draws lots of attention and if someone wanted to make this a perfect show car trailer queen, it would be an easy job.
