Description Royal carriage is proud to present another rare find. This is an immaculate condition, smoke and pet free plus accident free Maserati spyder with the cambiocorsa paddle shift. This car have the extra cost mediterraneo metallic paint with a rare ivory leather interior and contrast piping that is also an extra cost item. There is also the very desirable skyhook suspension and  brand new tires mounted on flawless wheels. The body is all original with no paint work nor any dents. To say this is a pampered car would be an understatement. The convertible top is in excellent working and cosmetic condition, and the interior is scratch free and the leather shows almost no sign of  wear as the pictures will illustrate. Although auto check shows it had 5 owners, we looked into this and found that two of the records were simply dealer obtaining new title for ease of registration which is a common practice so in fact it is a 3 owner car which is normal for a 2002. The last owner is a well respected dentist and only drove this in the summer and put very little miles on the car. This loaded car have extra cost options galore! The service was done at 15900 miles so there is absolutely nothing needed for a while to come. Details of the service performed are listed below, they are:   full synthetic oil and filter change with crush washer change transmission fluid change, differential gear oil change and all washers replaced upgraded brake fluid change ( higher spec than factory ) upgraded lifetime high performance racing air filter ( higher spec and reusable ) power steering fluid change auxiliary drive belt upgraded ultra high performance iridium spark plugs installed ( ignites at much higher temperature for a cleaner burn ) cabin pollen air filter change also brake disc and pads were replaced at 15900 miles as well as all 4 brand new Vredestein high performance tires were installed. Everything works  and all service  have been performed.  This car also qualifies for platinum bumper to bumper warranty up to 4 years and 72000 miles from date of purchase wit our optional extended warranty. There are also a few extras that cost about $10000 on this car, they are the finest aftermarket performance items made by one of the most respected names in Maserati circuit. These are: Lowering springs which greatly enhances the handling profile of the car . The lowering springs in conjunction with the wheel spacers which are also installed widens the track and not only make the car rides smoother as a bigger car, it also reduces lean in cornering as well as reduces any dive in ahrd braking, all in all a win win combination. ( parts and labor $2800 ) performance exhaust that not only increase power by 18HP and torque by 37 lbs, it also reduces engine temperature by less restriction on exhaust gas which also improves engine response as if this ferrari engine needs it! ( parts and labor $2200 ) This one is my favorite!! the transmission TCU, it DRAMATICALLY improves gear change smoothness and speed and greatly extends clutch life by virtually eliminating clutch slip during shifting, the gear change is fast but most importantly smooth! ( parts and labor $ 1600 ) Performance engine ECU that works with factory ECU so there is no change in engine idle and smoothness nor fuel consumption. What you do get is a 20-30 HP increase and up to 32 lbs torque gain. ( parts and labor $ 2300 ) So what we have here is a car with over 430 HP and about 400 lbs of torque but totally undetectable in smoothness, ride nor appearance except a n inch lower ride height but with performance that surpass even the latest 2010 Gran truismo 4.7S as this has higher power and torque, less weight, a quicker transmission and preformance brakes. This is for someone who truly appreciate the Maserati marque but just think $137000 ( for the new 4.7S ) is a tad high. Also due to age the rear window and top fabric was showing some wear, as a result i had a OEM new roof with headliner and rear window replace, so it is brand new! Cost was $2900. All in all between the modification and the meticulous maintenance , this car have about $14000 of painstaking work done. None of it necessary, but all of it out of love for the sport. The car i want to be clear was NEVER raced nor tracked, it was simply a very expensive project and you get to enjoy it and pay next to nothing for all this enhancement. For all of you that are looking for a Maserati, i urge you to go test drive a few of the garden variety ones and then fly out to Vegas and drive this one, there is NO comparison and i will even pay for the airfare and hotel for the buyer, that is how sure i am that a true Maserati fan will love this car!
