RARE - 71 Dodge Charger R/T 440 Magnum VIN: WS23U1E105100 Only 2504 total R/T 440 Chargers were produced in 1971. This is a rust free California car. The last owner had this car for 30 years. Her daughter went to high school in it in 1982. This is a factory U code 440ci magnum-727 automatic car. It is heavily optioned. It has the very desirable Hide away headlites, AC, Power windows,PS,PB, 6way seat, Rim blow steering,bucket seats, console, wheel,inside hood release,racing mirrors,etc This car is very clean. There is absolutely no sign of any rust. The trunk floor is perfect with no pitting. The miles show 36,700 but I have no way to know if that is original. There is a small amount of filler in one lower ¼ edge which must have been caused by backing over a high curb or something. I see no other signs of previous damage. The car was originally B5 Blue with blue interior. The car was repainted FM3 Panther pink back in 1982. The paint is presentable but shows signs of age. All four corners have been worn through by a car cover rubbing on it for many years.I have tried to show the spots in the pics. There are also some chips and scratches. The car sat for many years. I drained the stale gas and put in fresh fuel. It fired right up. It takes a little gas down the carb to prime it. The engine is a 440ci with headers, the top pad is stamped with an “E”. It is not the original engine. The E means 1969. The original engine would be stamped with an “G” to show 1971. I did not find a buildsheet but included are registrations, insurance cards and receipts for the past 30 years. The headliner has some mouse damage but the rest of the interior is presentable. There is a push button installed in the console top for some reason. This car has been sitting along time and should be gone through before driving long distance. The brakes work well but I have not inspected them.
