1970 VOLKSWAGEN BEETLE CONVERTIBLE VW RED HOT BUG COOL CUSTOM Up for bid is a fun 1970 VW Convertible Beetle. GEX Rebuilt engine runs good with 4 speed transmission w/ scat shifter, shifts great. Drives well in the freeway. Spent most if its life in dry Arizona weather and previous owners had it for almost 13 years. It has been minimally driven to show visiting family and friends around town. It has been lowered and has custom modification to resemble a classic mild, clean hotrod look. It's a real treat to drive this classic beetle. There's about $5k in receipts not including paint in this VW in just the past 15 years yet has just acquired about 10k miles. Paint is porsche red and shines up really well. Receives a lot of compliments. Front and rear bumpers are in excellent shape and chrome shines good. It's an older restoration but still shows well. Trims are in great shape. Interior is good and door panels are new. Front seats looks good, original back seat looks good too. Speedomoter doesnt work, wiper works, gas guage works, horn doesnt, turn signal works. Glass is all good, (new weather seal etc.) Trunk looks great, really clean and has new carpet kit. Top was replaced in '98 and good shape for its age but has stitched-up about 6 inch long in the front portion from. Has been there for 13 years and has held up well.
