Just re-listed with a lower reserve and Buy it Now price! This custom made dirt bike racer was built in 1976 by an aerospace engineer while working on the Space Shuttle at Edwards AFB. It was made using many aftermarket motocross parts that were available at the time and no longer available today. It was stored sometime in early 1977, until my son and I acquired it several years ago. We have won several trophies showing it in the local So California area and most recently we were invited to show it at the 28th Annual Concours d' Elegance in Dana Point, CA in June, 2010. It was entered as a "Motorcycle of Interest and Significance". It was also featured on the cover of the Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club in October, 2009 with a 2 page feature story. We have 2 notebooks of receipts and brochures documenting the 8 month build-up and a chronological journal of the entire modification. A spare VJMC magazine is included but the awards and trophies are not included. The bike runs and shifts as new and there are no known issues.The engine s/n is 10 digits from the frame s/n and is CL450E-106475. Honda engine and frame numbers didn't match but were always within 150 numbers of each other. The bike is available worldwide and we have several shipping sources available. This bike deserves to be passed on to a collector and really belongs in a museum for all to enjoy as it is definitely a 'time warp' piece of motocross history.
