This auction is for a 1955 GMC short wheelbase, big window, V8 hydromatic, step side truck. There is no motor, transmission, radiator, or steering column. This was a very well optioned truck. I have a good title in previous owners name. It includes the rare jet hood ornament. Included, but not in photo's, a factory radio and speaker, extra trim. Truck does have all trim and badges. Rust in normal places, floor on drivers side, rear cab corners, bottom edges of doors (not bad), some in edges of front fenders. What is left of original paint, the rest is surface rust. One fixable dent in drivers side rear fender. Bed and tail gate are very straight. Frame has been grafted with a 79 Chevy truck front clip which includes disc brakes. Welded on fine ,but right rail is tweaked and will need some work. Original rear end and driveshaft. Bed has a steel floor. I was looking for another short wheelbase to bring back to original, but to many projects to get to this one. Rear glass is good, windshield is cracked. Tires are junk, but will hold air for a while. Last photo is a completed 55 in it's original beautiful look. This is a very hard to find model that deserves to be put back on the road. Email any questions and I will get back to you asap.
