Vehicle Detail

Here is a rare opportunity to get a very well optioned matching # big block 4 speed 1970 Torino GT with the absolute best color combination available!. I have ordered a Marti and I will add a picture of it as soon as I get it. All options have been verified with a Ford 999 report. It came with a ton of great options; N code 429 Thunderjet close ratio 4 speed 3.0 N case 31 spline Traction Lock rear axle Calypso Coral paint laser stripes hidden headlights air conditioning power steering power disc brakes black bucket seat interior console tach AM/FM rear speakers rear window defroster tinted glass visibiity group It has an very good body with almost no rust The quarter panels, cowl, floors, frame rails, trunk etc are all very clean with no previous rust repairs. There is just a small spot under the trunk weatherstripping on one side a bubble or two in one door. Very straight body overall but there is a dent in the driver's quarter and some smaller dents above it. The valances need a bit of work also. The battery apron does have a wrinkle in it and it should be straightened or replaced. All trim is there, rocker trim is in nice shape which is unusual, many Torino GT's are missing the rocker trim panels. Hidden headlight doors are missing and grill is cracked but repairable. Has original 14x7 wheels with all trim rings and caps. Interior has good door panels and no cracks in the dash, although there are some bumps in it. Headliner and front seat upholstery should be replaced. Carpet was replaced at some point and doesn't fit well but with a little effort it probably would. Console shell is gone but the correct 4spd console plate is still there (which is the hard part to find) It has rare factory kick panels with built in speaker grills but the panels are cracked. Comes with matching # block that has been freshly bored and has had main studs installed. The block has had one sleeve professionally installed. Also comes with factory oilpan, timing cover, balancer, lower pulley and rods. It is missing the heads, intake, exhaust manifolds, radiator, shroud, motor mounts and underhood A/C stuff.. Those parts are readily available and not expensive. Also comes with matching vin 4 speed and original shifter, bellhousing, Z bar and both pivots, driveline and yoke. The flywheel is missing. This car would be worth top dollar restored with matching #'s, a great color combo and all these options. I was going to put a cheap used 429 in it, touch up the paint a bit, put tires on it and drive it the way it is but it really deserves to be restored. If I didn't already have another orange 429 4speed car I would definitely not sell this one. The car rolls steers and stops so it can be loaded onto a transporter for shipping. It is sold as is and is available for inspection by appointment. I reserve the right to end the auction at any time but I plan to let the auction runs its course. I will not disclose the reserve in fairness to all bidders. I have done my best to describe the car but it is a 40+ year old car and it is needs a restoration. $500 deposit due within 3 days of auction end, remainder due within 7 days. Car must be picked up within 21 days of payment being made unless prior arrangements are made. Shipping arrangements and expense are the responsibility of buyer. Any bidders with a feedback rating of less than 10 please contact me before bidding so I know you are a legitimate bidder.
