Up for auction is this very nice 1986 Jaguar XJS, metallic gray with black interior. Engine is very clean, milage low, overall condition is good. Here is the story on this vehicle, I bought it about 4 years ago and have driven it less then 4000 miles. It has been a project that I have tinkered with over the last few winters fixing it up with various modifications ( spoiler, louvers, changing interior color, cold air intake, fuel rails heat protected, inside wood refinished and decals added, etc.) The engine has been taken apart piece by piece and cleaned thouroghly and/or sand blasted to remove any discolorations and dirt. I don't have time to drive it much anymore and no longer have the room to keep it at my home, I need the room for other projects that I'm currently working on so it must go. I have spent way more than I'll ever get for it here on Ebay but I have to make room. When I did drive it around town it didn't matter where I went someone was always commenting on how unique it was. This could be a near perfect classic ride with just a little more work, passenger floor pan needs some metal added (currently have silicone spread on botom to keep water out) Engine runs fine but could use someone to check vacuum connections & set timing ( all new spark plugs, wires, dist cap & roter, AC compressor, brakes, tires nearly new, exhaust is good, Transmission rebuilt a year ago, inside wood trim refinished, AM/FM CD player & four speakers,seats have very nice custom seat covers original seats have been dyed and need the covers on them. The paint is about 2 years old but it was stored in my garage almost all of the time so it still has plenty of shine with only minor issues, AC needs charging, sunroof works but slowly. I also have a set of 2002 Jaguar rims with nearly new tires I'll throw in with car (had special adapter plates made for different lug configuration) This is a 25 year old car (a classic) and is not pristine or completely original so don't bid if your looking for perfection. don't hesitate to ask questions. On Jan-29-11 at 17:42:28 PST, seller added the following information: The vehicle milage is incorrect! I forgot I bought a used instrument cluter and swapped out several of the gauges. I bought the car 9/23/06 with exactly 69816 miles and I know I could not have put anymore than 4000 additional miles, so I would estimate the milage to be 74000 miles.
