1980 chevy malibu v8 for parts or restoration !!! THE DETAILS !!! this was my friends car, its a 1980 chevrolet malibu 4dr sedan, it has a 267-v8 engine, it DOES NOT RUN, no idea what it needs, he said he was warming it up to go to work in december 2010, and it clanged and shut off, maybe bearing went i was told, anyway the car sat in a garage from 1991 until december 2009 when he purchased it to use as his daily driver..... he did invest alot of $ in the car..... last spring he had a garage install a new cam, i think thast what it was called, also a few internal parts, accell spark plug wires, 8 plugs, battery cables, i have a few reciepts for a timing chain kit, fuel pump, water pump, belts, hoses, hand choke, also replaced / rebuilt the 2bbl carb, installed a new starter, replaced the master cylinder, brake booster, brake lines, exhaust system and muffler, installed gauges and a tachometer, also the car comes with a sony cassette player with removable face plate, a sony amp, some extra wire, and a small speaker box, it has a set of 15 inch monte carlo ss wheels, with beauty rings, decent tires, the suspension is tight, it handles well !!! the frame and under carriage is in nice shape...... the car has 077,633 orig miles on it, clean title reads actual mileage 12/2009 074,563........ he tried and tried to keep the car up and wanted to make a classic cruise night car but lost interest.... theres extra "junk in the trunk" too... i drove the car with him last summer and the trans shifts fine, steers tight, and is pa state inspected until july 2011....... the interior is fair, headliner fabric is gone, seats are dirty, carpet is fair, all glass is good, the ignition key cylinder broke so he replaced that as well, also have the old cylinder and key in the glove box, it has the original owners manual, the door and trunk key was just dropped in the snow yesterday so unless he finds it, is gone i guess for good.. i took a pic of a rust spot on the hood, he actually had to replace the hood because he bent it due to a rusty hood hinge so this was the best hood he could find and it has a small maybe size of a quarter rust spot on it..... also i took a picture of the driver rear wheel well where it has a scrape!!! the rest of the body seems nice.... BRING A TOW DOLLY, AND CA$H. no reserve !!!, when the auction's over the high bidder will own it !!!
