Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a 1956 Ford F-100. The truck was originally from Missouri and nearly rust free. The frame and exterior body were free of rust, only a small spot in the floor was repaired. The truck is very straight and body is all steel. It has a 1970 Ford 429 CJ engine and automatic transmission. I am not sure exactly what it is out of but it has the correct cast iron 4v intake and screw in studs. The only thing that I have not checked is wether or not it is a 4 bolt main, but the number are correct. It runs and drives, tranny shifts well. It has Volare suspension mounted on the original frame. Power disc brakes, power steering. It has a new fuel pump, battery, spark plug wires, spark plugs, and a fresh oil change. It runs on an electronic ignition system probably out of a Mustang. It has a Mustang steering column, and steering wheel. Aluminum slot wheels all 15" with good tires on them. The front are "shelby 500" wheels, and the rear are Dan Gurney wheels. They are both marked. I put new wood in the bed and it is stained with an "ebony" stain by Minwax. The truck was painted with an Industrial enamel with hardner, so the paint job will last and be washable unlike a lot a rat rods out there that are simply black primer or a base coat only. All the glass is good except the windshield which has a couple of chips and a crack in it. However with the theme of the truck I wouldn't change it out, It still functions well and does not effect visibility. The truck will still need a few things to be complete, and street legal. The lights need wired up, the old wiring is still in place but seems to be unsafe to use. The hood will need some type of hinge and latch system put on. I have a brand new set of stock hinges, and the majority of a front tilt kit. They both go with the truck and can be placed at the new owners discretion. The bed wood will need bolted down. It is in there tight and probably isn't going anywhere but I have the new bolts to send with the truck. Mechanically the truck runs great, it starts right up, but it cuold stand to have a gasket kit thrown in the carb (leaks a little) and a set of valve cover gaskets put on it. Overall the truck is a great small project that will be ready to cruise in the spring. Any questions please fell free to give me a call. 765-376-3486
