Vehicle Detail
Thank you for viewing my auction on this rare limited-production TURBO DIESEL E300td. I've sold many of these and this is one of the nicest I've had. Most of these have rust on them but this is a FLORIDA-only Mercedes with NO rust. The paint and body are in excellent condition and all original. Please check out the high AutoCheck score confirming this is a TWO-OWNER FL car with NO accidents. PLEASE VIEW MY 2 VIDEOS below to get a complete picture of how well this TURBO DIESEL runs. This Mercedes was inspected by an independent mechanic (Karr Automotive, Orlando) and his results will be explained in the text of this listing, so please read the entire listing before asking questions. Please have your funds (cash or wire transfer) in order before bidding as your winning bid is a binding contract per eBay rules. BUY WITH CONFIDENCE; I have a 100% feedback which is due mostly to me accurately describing the vehicle; so once again read the entire listing, watch the videos and ask questions if something is NOT addressed. I will promptly answer all emails and if you want a picture of something send your request to douglasray68@hotmail.com. You can also text or call me at 407-579-0191 (I can usually reply to text quicker). All serious offers considered but please no low-ball offers. Preferred method of communication is email unless you are making a cash offer. If you have a list of questions or concerns please email me and I will respond within 2 hours from 10am to 9pm est. Please realize this is a 13 year old car so if you are looking for a perfect Mercedes for thousands below market this is NOT the car for you. But, if you are looking for a super-clean rust-free Mercedes that drives nice (once again watch the videos) that may need a little work this IS the car for you! The videos speak for themselves but let me highlight some of the positives of this Mercedes; it cranks at first try and has no cooling or oil pressure issues. It is smooth and quiet on acceleration and shifts as intended (see video). ALL the power accessories work; windows, locks, dual power seats, sunroof, radio/cd changer, pwr headrests, pwr tilt/telescoping steering wheel, cruise control. It has front and side airbags. The tires have at least 10,000 miles left on them if not more. As you will see in the video, the car is smooth at 60mph and on heaving braking does not vibrate or pulse. PLEASE NOTE; the a/c blows but not ice cold. The heat works fine. The mechanic that inspected the car diagnosed this for the a/c system [needs a/c heater controller for a/c compressor usage]. From his computer diagnostic he also indicated that it needs 3 glow plugs; glow plugs usually just affect start up which is fine with this car. These have been priced locally as low as $250 for this maintenance item. The mechanic's inspection also indicated that it needs a brake light switch ($150). The check engine light is on and we had the mechanic run a full diagnostic and most of the codes are history codes (picture shows books and mechanical report/codes). I have the full list if so please email me concerning a specific code. GOOD MAINTENANCE HISTORY; I have the original service booklet and the original owner, who took possession in 9/6/97 kept up the records. The stamped booklet shows pre-delivery inspection in 8/21/97 from Autohaus Pompano, FL. REQUIRED MERCEDES service done at 3/17/99 (13,881 miles), 2/15/00 (24,275), 12/6/00 (33,521), 3/12/02 (45,778), 5/13/03 (59,643), 7/10/03 (61,216), 6/20/04 (71,275), 6/05/06 (92,091). I was very impressed by how nice this TURBO DIESEL accelerated and shifted. That being said, after about 40 minutes of driving I did notice that the idle started to "hiccup" just a little. It only did this twice in over an hour of driving. Even when it was doing this it still drove strong and shifted fine (perhaps it was a function of the glow plugs??). This is the advantage of buying a one or two owner car; the maintenance history is usually better. The interior is very clean with no rips or tears in the seats. The door panels are in great shape and the trunk is clean with a spare and all the Mercedes tools. Please note, there are TWO small cracks (maybe 1.5 inches each) on the dash. They are up near the windshield and not "obnoxious". There is some mild wear on the center console. As mentioned, I have a 100% feedback and do not try to pull “fast-ones”, but if I missed something that is on your “hot-list” please email, text, or call (please make no assumptions then threaten me with negative feedback later when I failed to disclose a ding or something small like that).
