You are bidding on a 1966 Chevrolet Malibu 2 door Sport Coupe. This Chevelle is a Malibu Sport Coupe (136) body style car and while originally powered by a small block engine and a powerglide transmission it has had a powerplant upgrade to include a strong Marine 454HP engine and a Turbo-Hydramatic 350 automatic transmission. The car retains it's original Chevrolet 10 bolt rear end. This Chevelle is an original Sandalwood Tan Metallic exterior paint (code T) car with a 2-tone Fawn interior (code 708-A). The car while fairly solid; is not without it's flaws. The car has some minor rust spots on several areas to include the lower left 1/4 panel, left door corners, lower left fender and a couple of spots on the roof. Most of these rusted areas are fairly common spots and are a relatively simple fix. The car has no rot underneath and has no structural issues at all. The floor pans are very nice on the car. The trunk pan has been replaced and is also very nice. The frame is in excellent shape on this car!! This car is an excellent driver!! The High Performance 454 in it is very strong and is equipped with a dual feed Holley Carburetor that is very responsive. The car has Headers and a 2-1/2 inch exhaust system with Flowmasters giving the Chevelle a very healthy RAT-Motored sound without being too obtrusive. The Turbo 350 Transmission shifts cleanly and transmits the the 454's horsepower out to the 10 Bolt rear end. The car has power steering and old school manual drum brakes. Car rides on 15 inch Chevrolet Ralley Wheels with a set of 245-60-15 GT Qualifier Radials to put the Big Block Chevy power to the pavement. The Sandalwood paint on the car is old, but still has good sheen to it. It is nowhere near perfect, but is a very presentable 10 footer that you would be proud to roll up in on Cruise Night! The 2-tone Fawn and Black Bench Seat Interior is decent and serviceable, but will need a headliner and sail panels. The Chrome and Bright trim on the car is decent and generally presentable for a driver. The front hood molding is missing, but they are readily available. Cowl Tag on fire wall reads as follows: 03B ST 66-13617 ATL12022 TR 708-A T-T W 2MS L The best thing about a car like this is that even though it needs cosmetic freshening; it is not a basket case like most affordable project Chevelle's you see listed. This car runs and drives fantastic!! Just get in and go!! You can drive this car and enjoy while you perform the different weekend cosmetic projects on the car to get it to your level of 'done'. This is a super solid, running, driving 1966 Chevelle Malibu with a High Performance 454 engine that runs out strong and cool!!
