Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE Up for auction is a 1956 Chevrolet 4-door sedan. It has the 235 Stovebolt six cylinder engine, and a three-speed manual transmission. It has a very solid floor, with no major rust. The front fender bottoms may need some attention. Trunk is rust free. It will need a front passenger door. Soon after I bought this car in August of 08, I was able to start the engine, and actually drive this car around the country roads. The brakes will need to be bled again, but stopped the car pretty well when I drove it. The engine sounded surprisingly good, and the clutch/transmission shift well. Currently, the distributor is not firing and the starter solenoid is stuck in this cold weather, therefore, I cannot start the engine. The rest of the car is rather complete. It has all its glass (except for the missing door) which are in good shape. The door handles and cranks are there. Has both set of seats. The car has the “California frame,” both bumpers, and tail-light housings (in trunk). There is also an assortment of parts, trim, etc, included in this auction. The front tires will air up long enough to get this car on a trailer. There is no title for this car. It will be sold with a bill of sale. This is a great foundation for a restoration. Most importantly, this car is not perfect. It is a 1956, and you should consider the age of the components before bidding. I had a very bad experience with a buyer about 5 years ago. Due to Mike from Arizona, I will not, under any circumstances, deliver this car anywhere. It is sold as-is, where-is.
