Up for auction is an 89 Accord Lxi that would make good basic A to B transportation. This car was owned by an elderly couple since 1992 with 56k. The body now has 325k on it but I was told that the engine had been rebuilt and had approx. 25k on it. The transmission had also been replaced with a used unit and had approx. 120k on it. The body of the car is in good shape except the driver's rear quarter where it got bumped into lightly and the gentleman tried to fix it himself with bondo and didn't sand it down. The interior is in pretty good shape for a 22 year old car. The seats have no tears. The headliner has a couple of bad places near the sunroof (I haven't noticed any leaks and it has been raining for two days). The tires, especially the fronts have good tread. The brakes are pretty good, but will probably need some on the front soon. The car does need an alignment and possibly needs a headlight switch as the lights will only burn on bright (could also be the headlights themselves). The a/c is there, but doesn't work. The radio isn't the best & needs an antenna. It's a 22 year old car that needs some tlc, but the engine & trans. seem strong and should make someone some economical transportation.
