2006 Volkswagen Jetta TDI PLEASE NOTE: THIS CAR DOES NOT RUN, IT NEEDS A NEW ENGINE! So it is being sold : "AS IS" ! I am selling my Jetta because the Volkswagen dealer wants too much money for parts and labor to put a new engine in the car. I am unable to find anyone locally to repair it and I can't fix it. This would be the right car for someone that knows how to fix VWs and has always wanted a Jetta. It was a great car, but I may have picked up bad fuel somewhere, and now the engine is ruined. The car did at least start, but after the VW dealer did their diagnostics, the car will no longer start. When the car was running it got 35 MPG for city driving and around 42 MPG for Highway driving. Most of the miles put on this Jetta were highway miles. Condition: The body is in great condition but there is a dent to lower right portion on the front bumper. The exterior color of the car is North Sea Green and may have a few superficial scratches that can be buffed out. The interior is in good conditon and is done in beige and gray. There are no rips or tears in the beige leatherette seats. The headliner has come loose and needs to be streched and glued back in place. All of the seatbelts work, but the plastic cover has come out of the door (see pictures) from where the left drivers seat belt comes out of the door; this is cosmetic & does not affect how it works. The plastic "soft touch" coating on the stereo buttons has flaked off and VW admitted they had problems with the plastic "soft touch" coating, but would not replace them because the car was just out of warranty when the plastic coating started wearing off. Some of the door buttons coating have flaked off as well. Features Include: Special features include alloy wheels and Anti-theft wheel locks. Rear seat armrest with storage and pass-through. Dual illuminated front fisor mirrors. Front and rear reading lights. Front cupholders (rear seat cupholders are broken). Remote release for fuel filler flap and remote release for trunk with valet lockout. Power central locking system. Folding key with remote keyless locking (also valet key included). History: I am the original owner of the Jetta. The vehicle history report shows two owners, because it was originally purchased by my ex-spouse from Kuhn Volkswagen in Tampa, Florida. Then I refinanced the vehicle. Shipping and Payment: The buyer is responsible to make arrangements to pick up the car (from me, the Seller) and the certificate of Title upon payment of the vehicle in full. The Seller will not release the car to the buyer, until the payment has cleared & has been received in full. I am requesting a deposit of $2000.00 through PayPal after 72 hours of auctio close. I will accept the remaining balance by money order or cashiers check upon car pick up OR I will accept a personal check sent a few days prior to car pick up, to allow time for the payment to clear. The buyer must make arrangements to: have the car towed at their expense from my residence or have it shipped by an independent shipper. The buyer is responsible for the cost of: their sales tax, title and registration of the car.
