This listing is for a vary Rare 1978 Plymouth Volare Road Runner In 1978 only about 1000 of these vehicles were produced and very few of them came in the Orange exterior color This vehicle was equipped with a 318 V-8 engine and automatic transmission, both of which are currently removed from the vehicle but I do have them and the engine is Numbers Matching The pictures actually make the car look much worse than it it because at some point it got the paint sanded down and light surface rust got on the body this easily sands off and presents no damage or problem in restoring the vehicle The car is 95% rust free and if you know anything about the Volare cars you will know these had huge rust problems and this is why so few exist today This car has a quarter size hole in the right rocker panel and and a small 6" long line if rust in the drivers quarter panel both of which are easy to repair Other than that this cars restoration would be mainly cosmetic I have every part that was taken off the car and every nut and bolt was labeled and bagged when disassembled so this is easy to put back together I purchased the car in 1990 and have had it garage kept ever since I always planned on restoring it but just never got the time The 1978 Road Runner had the prettiest graphics package of all the years and is often considered to be the most desirable because they made 5-7 time more of these cars in 1976 and 1977 If you want a true Mopar classic car that is still affordable this is it and it is sure to increase in value just look at other cars from this era If you have any questions please ask
