1947 Lincoln Continental Cabriolet Convertible RARE one of 740 Built in 1947! Too many projects, this car need to go ! This car is a very rare car!! The car needs total restoration! The V12 engine is currently out of the vehicle and totally apart!!! The engine is missing the carbs and other parts, and needs total rebuilding. Its probably easier to just drop a v8 in it, but if you want to keep it original then you can rebuild the engine that the car originally had. it includes Engine block, Heads, manifolds, Pistons and rods, oil pump, Crankshaft, Cam Shaft, Flywheel and Oil Pan. The car has the original trans still in it. The body on the car is not all that bad. The rockers need to be replaced, i have a NEW SET OF ROCKERS that go with the car. The front floor have rust through and have been gone over with sheetmetal. The rear floor and under the rear seat is really solid and nice. The front fenders and hood are nice. The doors are good, the drivers door has a dent in the upper part not a big deal, but no rust. The rear fenders have little rust and i would say are useable and fixable, just tiny pin hole like rust in a few spots barely noticable. This number was found on the cylinder head: 'H6157 26H-6049' and this number was found on the intake manifold: '4.3.47'. The convertible frame has rust. The issues mentioned in the chrome where regarding the rear taillight housing, lower trim on fenders and doors and the left upper grille. There are no keys. The window switches are missing. The driver's door drops when being opened. There is rust on the wheels. The right rear wheel is missing the 'Lincoln' emblem. The rear tires are cracked. The engine is in pieces in the back of the car. The hood has punctures in it (see photos). The right side of the engine bay has a hole cut. The interior has mildew. Not sure if seats are vinyl or leather. The dashboard is rusted. Some of the parts marked as missing may be with the boxes of parts, but not sure. The body around where the rear fenders bolt has some minor rust through, but very sturdy still. Overall the body isnt that bad Remember the car needs total Restoration. The front bumper on the car has just been rechromed, and looks good. The rear bumper and other chrome needs replating. I have extra grilles and stuff for the car. The interior of the car is all there as far as the upholstery and door panels are concerned. The seats need to be redone as well was the door panels. The rear seat is out in the pics but i do have it and it is included. The car has power windows and the switches are out of the the car, but should be in with the boxes of extra parts for the car. The dash gauges are in the dash for th pics to show that i have them. In the pics the horn ring is off but i have it in a box. The windshield is good. The door windows need replacing, its just flat glass so its cheap. The convertible top parts all move freely and are in good shape. Some of the lenses and stuff might be missing im not sure. The car has the orignal continental kit on the rear bumper for the spare tire. The car also has 4 nice hubcaps and the hubcap for the spare tire that says Lincoln Continental in nice shape. We paid $300 just for the hubcap. The car rolls and steer easily. it has 3 new wide whitewall tires. The frame on the car is in good shape The wiring for the dash is missing but the lights wiring and such is there. The stainless for under the doors and front fender is missing. The car has the original rear fender skirts too . There is some pitting around where the trunk lid sits. The car has alot of potential. Please ask ALL QUESTIONS BEFORE YOU BID !!
