I'm a Jeep nut and love my Cherokees. I've had a half dozen or so with 250k-300 miles and loved every one. I currently own and drive a 99 with about 210k. I probably know them about as well as any other make/model. I bought this guy from a fleet lease company called PHH. It was a company truck and a commuter vehicle, probably used for sales. It does not have low mileage which should be apparent, but the darn thing is beautiful and it comes with a service history more extensive and documented than anything I've seen before. Click here for records on Carfax. It's all original, never wrecked or beat on, certainly not offroaded or kidized, still bone stock from roof to rubber. The paint is bright chili pepper red pearl, not maroon, not orange or copper, but somewhere in between. Nope, no paint peeling up on the hood and roof, rare! It's never seen road salt. The tires are almost new. It's never been smoked in, interior is fantastic, undercarriage looks good, and it drives better than a lot of 100k mile Cherokees we've had through here. You Jeep people who know your vehicles are going to get a good deal here. The clock reads a lot but this thing is just broken in. exterior This Jeep is original, no repaint, no repaired damage, everything lines up and matches well. It has very good gloss, no lacquer checking on the roof or hood, some very very faint signs on the hood that the clear is thin, so you'll need to keep it waxed to prevent future cracking. The wheels and tires are almost new, really nice shape. The windshield is brand new, we put it in. There's just a few things to mention for wear like anything with mileage will have. If it were my Jeep, I'd repaint the front header panel. This thing has all freeway mileage and it's chipped up. We can have it done for you, the black grille inserts are about $30 if you want one of them too. There's a touched up ding on the right front fender corner. The left lower turn signal has a crack, think they're $8. The front bumper and trim have are a bit aged. You can clean them up easy with a heat gun to cut the greening (little trick). The rear bumper has 1 nick, drivers door has a scratch and it did have a little ding our PDR guy bumped out, so at the right angle you can see a few little waves in the paint. The Jeep is beautiful. I've had a half dozen people ask me about it the last few days thinking it was a nice low mileage Jeep (which are hard to find) and it's always the same response: "How many miles!!??" Nobody will ever know but you. :) interior The interior is wonderful. It smells nice and has never been smoked in. There are no rips, burn holes or obvious stains. Just the drivers carpet has a little wear. The drivers seat bolster has been repaired at some point and looks fair. We can replace the side panel with new vinyl flor $90 if you really want it perfect. Everything works great inside, nothing to complain about at all. mechanical This Jeep runs and drives great. I put about 50 miles on it running some errands one day. It fires right up, idles smooth, drives straight and the steering is pretty tight. It's very easy to drive. We changed the oil, filter, and did a coolant flush. The oil pan had what looked like a bit of normal seepage, but it's not all dripping wet. The t-case shows a bit of normal seepage, fluid is clean and full though, normal valve cover gasket seepage too. It's still a Jeep and not new, but it's less seepy than most 150k mile vehicles. The transmission fluid is about 1/2 life, we can service it if you like. The service documentation is fantastic. This is everything in a Jeep because as long as that's done regularly you simply can not break these guys. They're simple and durable and were done the right way. I would keep this as a personal vehicle if I didn't already have one, it's a fine example and has a lifetime yet to go.
