Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE Up for auction is a 1955 Chevrolet sedan. It is essentially a rolling chassis and body. PLEASE READ: This car was originally a 4-door sedan. As a project, I converted it to a 2-door. I accomplished this by locating a set of 2-door doors. Slid the B-pillar back, eliminated the C-pillar, and reconstructed the quarter panel and window frame using the rear door. The car is dimensionally identical to a 2-door sedan. I had originally planned to make a 60s style Gasser drag-car out of this 55 and wasn’t too concerned with factory correctness. I do not know if a factory interior can be installed into this car. The front floor pans will need to be replaced. There is no motor or transmission. Mileage on the chassis is unknown. It has the one-piece “California frame.” The rear upper shock mount on the passenger side (where the shock mounts to the body) has been busted up a bit. This is a common problem for these cars. It can easily be fixed. The rocker panels are rust free. Trunk is rust free, as are the quarter-panels, front fenders, hood, and deck lid. It appears to still have the 55’ GM rear axle. Ratio unknown. Rear glass is included, no side glass or windshield. Comes with an assortment of door handles, cranks, trim, and small parts. No front bumper. There is no title for this car. It will be sold with a bill of sale. Obviously, this is simply a starting point for a restoration or drag-car. FYI, I had a very bad experience with an ebay buyer about 5 years ago.
