1949 Ford Custom in original condition. Car is a flathead 6 cyl. with thee on the tree manual transmission. Features include clock, AM radio, windshield wipers, and heater. I haven't checked if these work or not. I purchased this car at an antique tractor and auto auction at Wakonda, SD in June 2006. It was non-running at that time because the valves were stuck. I took the engine apart and installed new cam bearings, rod bearings, and main bearings, new valves, piston rings, and gasket set, reman. water pump, and a new fuel pump. I honed the cylinder bores also. The only thing the engine could use is a distributor/oil pump drive gear. I took the transmission apart and installed new blocker rings. I also installed new wheel cylinders, and a rebuilt master cylinder. The generator has all new parts inside. The battery does not charge though. The car drives well an brakes well. The body has 2 small rust areas and a couple small dents. The interior is original with one 1" hole in the cloth ceiling, the front rubber floor mat is deteriorated on the drivers side, and some of the door panels have tears in them. This is a good running and driving car That I enjoy, but mostly it just take up pace in my garage, so it is time to sell it.
