Vehicle Detail
This is a solid daily driver. Some very minor surface rust, no rot any place. None underneath or in any of the usual places. Good chrome. About 3000 miles on the tires. Interior is good except the seat material has rotted away, hence the Indian blankets, and the dash pad is cracked. The body is very straight and panels line up well. There is one nickel sized dimple in the right front top and another half dollar size one under the left front bumper. The left rear quarter panel has some minor scrapeing. Hard to tell its there if you don't know. The right side door has some paint crasing. It looks like there was a parking lot ding that was bondoed. The color was changed from green to brown at that time. Paint is gone with metal showing in a few places. The glass is all good. One very small chip in the windshield. Windows roll up and down well. Doors shut well. All in all it was a well maintained rural driven car. The engine is a rebuilt 140. No smoke or noises. No oil leaks until I spilled oil down under the crank pulley when changing the filter. It has 4 recently installed Wolfe rebuilt carbs with progressive linkage. You can tell it has a cam on idle and the duals sound nice, not loud. The auto shifts well. It has a fliud leak after sitting for a week. It appears to be the shift cable seal. It could use a new shift cable, about 3 inches of the outer sheath is missing forward of the trans. It doesn't leak there. The brakes are good but it should have the system flushed and wheel cylinder kits. I did the left rear one when replacing the wheel bearing. The kits are included. Everything works, even the radio. The suspension is probably original. It isn't noticably loose and drives ok. The steering has a little play. It is just a very honest car. What you see is what it is. No surprises. Ok to drive home but I would keep it within a tank or two of gas. No AC or other creature comforts. I will deliver to San Bernardino CA for shipping if necessary. Check out my other items!
