SERIOUS BIDDERS ONLY, TIRE KICKERS WITH LESS THEN 10 FEEDBACKS PLEASE DO NOT BID UNLESS YOUR BUYING IT- ZERO FEEDBACK BIDDERS WILL BE DELETED unless you contact me before you bid- This car is located in Schererville Indiana about 45 miles south of Chicago. NO TRADES will be taken at this time. The car has a clear title. RARE 1967 Pontiac GTO Coupe project. This is a PHS documented, original engine - original auto transmission, black vinyl top- Signet Gold with gold interior car with factory AC.Only 7,029 coupes were manufactured in 1967 versus over 65,000 hardtops produced. The car has the original YS code 335HP 400ci engine, the original 670 heads, the original intake manifold #9786286, the original PX code 400 High Output/Ram Air transmission dated 1967, and the original Rochester 4bbl carb #7037262, original exhaust manifolds. The original engine just had a fresh complete rebuild.. THE ENGINE WORK CAME TO $2700.00 WITH PARTS AND LABOR-. YOU WILL RECIEVE ALL RECEIPTS WITH THE VEHICLE.and by fresh, I mean it was finished up two days ago by Mendez Motorsports Custom Engines. - New cam, pistons, rings, water pump, stainless valves, valve springs, reconditioned the original rods, new timing chain, etc. Also brand new repro 67 GTO chrome valve covers were installed. The car has power steering, manual brakes, air conditioning, it is a bucket seat interior car with console, it should have 2.93 gears in the rear (I have not checked this). The car comes with front and rear bumper cores, fenders, hood, original radiator, core support, many pieces of stainless trim - even for vinyl top, front buckets, his/hers shifter with console, NO back seat (even though it's pictured it is not included - I have another 67- sorry) All tinted glass is in the car, except for the rear window. The car has a black dash pad with it - cracked, there is a set of brand new black carpet and a headliner with it even though the car should have gold interior. I have restored the rear tail light housings, the factory exhaust manifolds, hood hinges, bumper brackets, and some various brackets for the engine - all media blasted and correctly finished. I planned on pulling the body off next and blasting the frame. I am currently finishing up a complete restoration on my Cuda and I just do not have the time to start another restoration project. The story on this car is that it spent it's life in Northwest Indiana during the 70's and 80'sand was supposedly in storage for over 20 years awaiting a resto. I believe it since the car still has a set of old Wide Oval tires on it and it hasn't been titled until recently by me and I believe the car sits on the original 14" rally wheels with trim rings. The car will need a whole new trunk pan. Some hill-jack welded in a piece of flat steel across the bottom of the trunk, so I would order a one piece floor and be done with it. Your also going to need lower quarters in my opinion, and I was planning on some brand new front fenders. The fenders have been repaired with bondo at some point.. you can buy a brand new set on eBay cheap. The floors are good, I see a couple of small holes about the size of a silver dollar.. like a tear punched out.. not rotted away. There is no AC compressor included. There are other parts included that you will see in the trunk of the car. All of the trim is on the side windows and the post area. Right now the doghouse is off of the car, and the engine and transmission are out of the vehicle. You will be responsible for transportation of the car and parts.. The engine is on a transport stand. This can be a beautiful original GTO especially with the gold interior. I wish I had the time to do it. The car is sold as is no warranty. A non refundable Paypal deposit if $500 required within 3 days of the auctions close. Certified bank funds, bank wire, or cash on delivery - no paypal for full amount, sorry. Photobucket pictures - http://s159.photobucket.com/albums/t151/reefmasters/GTO%201967/ CORE SUPPORT IS IN GREAT SHAPE FLOORS ARE STILL SOLID DESPITE THE FEW SMALL HOLES IN IT, PAN REPLACEMENT WILL NOT BE NECESSARY.
