Up for sale with NO RESERVE is my 98 Z28. I bought the car in Aug of 09 and I do not know how many owners there were before myself and the guy I bought it from. It has an LS1 engine with many upgrades such as aluminum intake manifold,aluminum 85mm throttle body,SLP mass air flow sensor,oil catch can,comp cams timing gears and chain,underdrive pulley kit. Much work has been done to the valve train including upgraded camshaft 1.6 roller rockers,ported and polished heads. It has long tube headers and full 3" exhaust. All of this is backed by a T56 6 speed manual tranny with an LS2 clutch kit. Under the car has been modified with a 1" lowering kit,QA1 12 position adjustable shocks in the rear,tubular lower control arms,adjustable panhard rod,adjustable torque arm,fully welded subframe connectors,driveshaft safety loop,new wheel bearings,tie rod ends and rack and pinion. I also installed Moser rear axles and wheel studs. The wheels are C4 Corvette ZR1 replicas. They are 17'x11.5 in the rear with 275/40/ZR17 Nitto Extreme ZR's in the front and 315/35/ZR17 Nitto Extreme Drags in the rear. The rear tires are at the wear bar but I have a set of Nitto Extreme ZR also 315/35/ZR17's that will go with the car. They are brand new I had them on the car for about 200 miles and took them off to save them until the drags were worn. This car is truly one of a kind with its awesome paint color and very cool ground effects kit. It has a very cool look to it without being a cheesy fast and furious car. The paint is called Cayenne Red Metallic. It seems to be quite rare as I have only seen one other car in the area with the same paint and it was an 01 SS. The interior is gray on gray with leather seats and power windows,mirrors,door locks and driver seat. It has a Kenwood CD radio, fog lights, t-tops that do not leak, and ice cold ac. I have only used premium fuel and Mobil 1 fully synthetic oil every 3K. The car has no leaks since I replaced the rack and pinion and the rear pinion seal. Now the car does have a few needs. The ABS light is on because it needs a new wheel speed sensor in the rear differential. The ring and pinion gears need to be replaced as they whine under acceleration. That is the only driveline problem in the entire car. It needs a passenger window motor as is common with these cars. It still works (very slowly) but will go up with a helping hand. The window tint needs to be redone it is peeling. The dash has 2 cracks in it and will need to be replaced at the discretion of the new owner. The paint is chipped in a few places nothing that most people would notice but since I see it everyday and I'm extremely critical I notice it. Also there is a small dent in the hood from the previous owner slamming the hood after installing the air box. It closes but it rubs and it dented from him slamming it. The good news is I have a fully functional fiberglass SS hood that will go with the sale. I never installed it because the hood is silver and I was gonna wait until I had the money to repaint the whole car. This is everything I can think of about the car and its condition.
