Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is my 1977 porsche 911s with a 2.7l engine. I purchased this car from a friends father. I dont know the full life of the car, but i do know that it spent a big majority of its life in Kansas. My friends father bought it from his brother and and it was a daily driver for many years until he moved here to Evansville, In and put it in storage. It sat in storage indoors for several years because he worked out of the country and was gone all the time until i saw it in his garage and convinced his wife it was time to sell it to me. I have owned the car for over 2 1/2 years and have the title in hand. I had big plans for the car, but unfortunately I have yet to make the time to do what i wanted to do with it so i will pass it along to someone that will make time for her. The car has right at 112,000 miles on it. When i purchased the car, I got it running with little effort, and I have drove it a few times around in the country. I wouldnt consider it a turn key vehicle. I drove it this past august and it did great, but i would have the car gone through to make sure everything is good. It has air conditioning!! Im not sure if it works seems how ive only drove the car a few times. Personally i dont care if it has it or not, but i know alot of people do. The car has steel flares in the rear. It appears that the interior may have been dyed black. It has what i believe to be RSR door panels. I still have the original panels as well. The problems that i am aware of are that it has a descent oil leak which i have never one time even looked to see where it is leaking from. The car is so low to the ground it is hard to get a jack under it. It needs swaybar end links. I have seen these on ebay for very cheap. The sunroof works, but it seems to struggle to close all of the way. I would just give it a helping hand when it would slow down. Maybe just grease the track..? The flares look like they were done very well, but the filler work wasn't that great. There is some bubbles in the paint around where the flares were put in. Lastly, I took the car to a foreign car specialist here in town to address an issue with the ignition. The car wouldn't start with the key. They corrected that problem, but when i got the car back from them, the key would not come out of the ignition. Im not sure why, but they basicly told me it wasn't there problem. I'm sure a locksmith could easily remove it and cut a new key for relatively cheap. The body is in good shape and the paint is descent. It has a nice shine, but there is a few scratches and chips here and there. Interior is in pretty good shape for its year. This is not a flawless car, but a very good starting point to make a super nice car or a good driver. I have tried to think of everything possible that i know the car needs. It has always been stored in my climate controlled shop. I have been a VW guy for my most of my life and was very excited to get my dream car, but I just dont know enough about them and I really don't have the time to get this car where i want it. I am a small business owner so it consumes all my time. I really feel this car with little effort and money would be a great daily driver for someone. Once again, I hate to see it go, but I just don't have the time to fix it up. I have the reserve set very low. 500.00 deposit due within 72 hours of the end of the auction. I prefer to have the balance paid with cash in person. Please ask questions if you have any at all before placing a bid. Nada results TOTAL PRICE $14,995 $14,300 $16,200 $21,700I consider this car to be in "fair" condition, but my reserve is MUCH lower than the low book.
