Vehicle Detail

This is relisted from last month because I was scammed by a fake ebay member, So if you are new to ebay and have no feed back please dont bid.I have the right to end auction early.1947 plymouth special deluxe 4 door sedan with rear suicide doors, this is a very original unrestored automobile,it runs and drives and has good brakes, the carburetor could use a rebuild and the engine could use a tune up,so I don't recomend trying to drive it any long distances.the only major rust is in the floor on the driver side at the door sill, I removed the original floor rubber mat and insulation to examine the rest of the floor and the rest is in good shape front to back the rust you see on the passenger side is surface rust. The rust in the trunk and on corners and edges of doors and fenders are pitting type rust, the roof has some small dents in it you can see in some of the pictures, the window on the rear driverside passenger door is cracked as seen in the picture the radio works sometimes and some of the face plate for the stations is missing,I have a radio delete plate if you decide to remove the radio. The heater is an old aftermarket brand and it works, the heat and defrost delete buttons make me believe that this car was ordered without a heater and later one was added,it is turned on by the red knob on the front center of the heater.the door locks work and the trunk lock works with the keys, the odd thing is that the keys are ford keys so when I bought new old stock blanks I had to buy ford blanks to have them cut to have a couple of sets of working keys.the front doors have the little stainless steel keyhole covers that protect the locks from ice, dirt and they work with the keys so you can lock the car,you can not lock yourself out of this car it was designed that way.all the trim is in good shape, the vacume wipers work but are weak,it has 600/16 bias ply tires and they have inner tubes, the bumper jack is hydraulic and it works but I would not trust it.the odometer reads 34115 and I believe this is correct due to the condition of the car but I can't prove it so I won't guarantee it.The exhaust manifold has a small crack on the underside near the rear,I can hear the leak with the engine running,The oil bath air cleaner has been gutted and drained of the oil and cleaned so a modern filter could be placed inside the original oil bath housing to keep the original look, this was done by the previous owner.I think this car has been painted and had some rear fender work or maybe they were replaced at some time in the last 63 years, the reason why I believe this is the old over spray on the right rear door glass and the newer bolts inside the trunk that hold the rear fenders on the car.The frame has surface rust and it could use new shocks, they are rusty but work well when driving the car there is not any sway or excessive bounce..The seats look to be original and the material is deteriorating, the seat cover on the back seat is old and the one on the front only has the bottom half and is also old,the head liner is original as well, with no rips.I have owned this car for just over one year and I have enjoyed it.I bought it on ebay from a dodge dealer in plymouth wisconsin and I hate to sell it but I have too many cars and not enough room.Good luck bidding and thanks for looking. The front rubber floor mat and insulation disintigrated as I removed it and so I disposed of it., There are companies that make reproduction floor mats and the floor pan section that is rusted through, this front floor is in three sections. The gauges all work as seen in the picture of them the engine was running and warmed up so you can see the oil pressure and water temp.the horns also work.the mileage may change by a few miles as I do drive the car.
