You’re bidding on a 1978 Honda cx500. It is a water-cooled, 500cc, transverse twin motorcycle. This bike runs and rides. You must realize while bidding that this is a thirty-some year old bike and it has its issues. It is in need of a new timing chain and because the one on it is in poor condition the bike has little power. This is the only major issue that I know of. It would be a good project or if you’re not looking for much power you could ride it as is. I am a college student and do not have time for a project and could really use the money. Included is a picture of the tags so that you can see it did pass the Missouri inspection and was ridden for a while before I bought a different bike that doesn’t need any work. There are several parts that have been replaced while I had it. They are as listed: 1. New tires (front and rear) they have less than 500 miles on them. 2. New brakes (front and rear) also have less than 500 miles 3. Used front brake caliper 4. New front master cylinder 5. New air filter 6. Flushed and refilled radiator 7. Used headlamp and turn signals 8. New petcock and gas lines 9. Cleaned carbs (could still use a tune up, as I was the one who worked on them and I am less than a professional) Like I stated above, the bike is in rideable condition. I rode it for several months before buying my current bike. Fixed up this would make a great starter bike or a daily driver. It has been sitting for awhile in my garage and is beginning to develop more tears in the seat. They aren't large but they are there. I included a picture of one. I have a manual on a flash drive for you if you win. The vin #'s on the bike and the engine match but i dont remember what they are.
