1974 AMC Jeep Cherokee S Quadra Trac - See Description Below. This is a rare 1974 AMC Jeep Cherokee “S” Quadra Trac. It is like the Chief and Laredo models. It has a 360 automatic with low range. This is the first year of the 2 door Full Size Jeep (FSJ). I'm taking time to describe my Jeep as I have 100% positive feedback, so if you need more pictures or information let me know. I do not want to overstate or understate the condition of this Jeep. See my feedback and note that it is 100%. I believe that to get this Jeep on the road will take a cleaning of the carburetor or possibly a rebuild, connect or install new rubber vacuum lines to the Quadra Trac, install the low range cable and I would recommend changing all fluids and possibly a tune up. As this is a 36 year old Jeep, I cannot guarantee this but for a Jeep enthusiast I don’t see how you can go wrong, especially if you're able to work on it yourself. I'm including a used cluster and speedometer cable, as the ones that are in place now do not appear to be working properly. I cannot guarantee that the used ones work as they are used. This Jeep is 36 years old so there is some wear and tear (see the pictures and ask questions) but it is a good candidate for a driver, restoration, restomod, rock crawler or? There was some rust at the rocker panels and rust encapsulating paint was applied at the rocker panels before the diamond plate at the rocker panels was installed. The Jeep is not perfect but is in what I would call good shape and the floor pans and frame rails look good. In my opinion this is a pretty good body for a 36 year old Jeep. See the pictures. There is a small dent at the passenger fender and the passenger door has a dent as pictured. These are reparable or, depending on what you choose to do with the Jeep, they can be left as is. The door opens and closes and the window rolls up and down. The header panel could stand to be replaced and I'm including a used replacement header panel in good shape. The rear tailgate door does not open and needs some work. I'm not sure what it needs but I’m including some parts but again I do not know exactly what is needed to fix it. The windshield is cracked but the other glass is intact. If you plan to restore the Jeep, then the headliner should be replaced. The seats have inexpensive seat covers but the original vinyl is on the seats and they would need to be recovered if you choose to restore the Jeep. The driver’s seat is a little weak in the back and I'm including a used one. The dash cluster and cable and low range cable need to be replaced and I’m including a used cluster and used cable and two (2) low range cables, one of which is NOS and the other is used. As shown in the pictures, the luggage rack rear rail and one corner piece is missing and I do not have these parts. Again, this Jeep needs a little work and should be considered a project and not an immediate driver but try to find this Jeep year and model plus the extra parts. My son and I had collected extra parts for it. See my other listings for Jeep parts.
