Vehicle Detail

1979 Ford F-150 4x4 Body and Suspension:Long box4" suspension liftSkyjacker shocksPaint is approximately 12 years old and shows some wear Paint job is not "show-room" and there are few runs on passenger side door (I wasn't able to get a good picture to show this) and some chips on rest of truck - I'm going to try and get some better detailed pictures up soonAbsolutely no rust or corrosion, solid body, no rattles or squeaksDual tanks (18 gal and 22 gal capacity)Topper with cargo lightTinted side and back windows on cab and topperNew adjustable drag link (to stabilize steering), new steering sectorTie rods are all new as well as new polyurethane bushings in front endTires:32/11/15 tires15 x 9" aluminum rimsTires are at about 80%Speedometer is set for tires so it reads correctlyEngine and Transmission:Edelbrock intake manifoldNew Edelbrock carburator20,000 miles on rebuilt automatic C6 transmissionHeaders with dual exhaustAll fluids recently changed70,000 miles on rebuilt 400 engine (actual mileage on the truck reads 75,525 - I'm guessing it is actually 175,525) - although the pickup is so tight I can't imagine that there is that many miles on it. I know I've only put on roughly 30,000 highway miles since I bought it.Since the truck was painted when I bought it (about 12 years ago), the truck has not been in rain/snow or mud and is stored in our heated shopI had hardened seats installed in heads about 10,000 miles ago since I was planning to set the truck up on propane, but never made the switchAt that time, I also installed a new Competition cam (and new Competition valve springs to handle it)Drivetrain, etc: New brakes, pads and shoes (front and rear)New wheel bearingsRe-kit wheel cylinders30,000 miles on overhauled rear endInterior: A/C blows coldSeat cover for original bench seat (original seat is in good condition as well)Rubber floor coveringCD player with mp3/ipod jack and remoteCenter of dash has one crack2 shoulder belts and I put in a center lap belt as wellThis truck is very dependable, runs great and sounds awesome - the only reason I'm getting rid of it is to make room for a vehicle that can handle the whole family. It is currently licensed and insured. This truck is a real head turner, and I get lots of compliments when I have it out and about. All signals work, heat and air, fuel gauge, etc all works. These trucks are hard to find that are solid and nice. I am the 2nd owner of the truck and it has been taken very good care of. This pickup has not been used a lot for pulling heavy loads, except within the last year I've pulled a car on a trailer for approximately 600 miles and it pulls great...plenty of horsepower. Email me for any other questions or specific pictures you want me to post. I will accept a $300 deposit through Paypal with the balance to be paid in cash within 14 days of purchase. Buyer is responsible for vehicle pickup or shipping, but you can give me a call and I can see what I can do to help arrange it. I am also willing to keep it stored in the heated shop for up to 30 days while you make arrangements. On Jan-04-11 at 20:32:13 PST, seller added the following information: I wanted to add my response to a bidder's questions...Do you know the gear ratio/Posi/Locker? 3.50 gear ratio, no posi traction, just limited slip. Has there been a history of rust thats been fixed? Yes, see below. Whats the Oil Pressure read? 80 lb cold and when warm (at idle) between 20-30 lb Does the topper go with the truck? Yes - it wasn't bought with the pickup, I bought it separately and had it painted. It is an original Ford topper, but not to the truck. It is missing an "emblem" on the passenger side. Has it been in any accidents? No...I bought it back in 1997 from a farmer who was the first owner of the truck. It had ended up going to a dealership since the old man was going into the nursing home. At the time, it was baby blue factory paint...totally original. It had some surface rust in both rear box corners. I had that cut that out and replaced with sheet metal. That was welded in place and undercoated on the back side. It also had some mild surface rust in the wheel well area (both sides) so I had it cleaned it up, buffed it out and painted, but 4 years ago or so I noticed some rust coming back, so I had that area completely cut out and replaced it with sheet metal. All parts welding in place were undercoated on the backside to prevent any further problem with rust. I'll try to get a good picture of the areas repaired. The rocker panel trim is not disguising any rust. Is this the OEM version of the truck or has it been parted together. Not a body part has been replaced on it other than the repairs above. Does the Cab VIN match the Frame VIN? Yes. Interested in drip rail, Engine, Bed and fenders pics. I'll upload tomorrow evening to ebay... Also, new exhaust put on about 10 years ago, and shortly after that I put headers on. I had to cut a section of exhaust out and replaced it "temporarily" with flex pipe on both sides (seen in previous pictures)...recently got it done professionally, so I'll get a picture of that up as well. All my chrome trim is original, including grill, except for bottom trim on rocker panel. Front bumper is original, but rear bumper is not original - its a 10 inch drop. I will just upload all the pics to ebay as I've had other questions from bidders as well. I also just recently serviced the transmission by replacing the fluids and transmission filter. When I changed the fluid it was "clean" - no filings, etc. I appreciate all the questions so I don't accidentally leave anything out. Let me know if you have any other questions! On Jan-05-11 at 19:53:44 PST, seller added the following information: I was only able to upload some of the pictures I took...no room to add more, so if you want me to email more of them to you, send a request. I am adding a few more engine pictures, the new exhaust replacing the flex pipe, small chip on driver's side, small imperfection on driver's door (this has been this way for 12 years), showing where rust was cut out and new box corner was welded in place (these were not an aftermarket box corner...they were cut off another box that had no rust in that area), inside fender (all in the same shape), and a picture of the wheel house area to show that there hasn't been a problem with rust (both sides are in good shape).
