Vehicle Detail

Hi - This is a rare model from 1979 that is sure to bring back memories. This classic Chrysler Cordoba has the 300 look (and it is difficult for a non expert like me to tell whether it is a 300 or just has 300 badges / grille/ etc) , but I am not sure of the technicalities that make it a 300 and see differing opinions throughout the web. At this time, we will call it a Cordoba and not a Cordoba 300. "Most" folks indicate it to not be the 300 model. Here is the vin for you to type into google or search for information SS22J9R112374 . It is a unique version of a rare Chrysler with unique features, and that is awesome news for you, it is a cool and different car. Perhaps the "300" items were placed on the vehicle after purchase also. It's a great deal. This car is now being offered for sale on ebay. We have not tried to sell it locally so you have the opportunity to puchase it before it goes up for sale locally. This is an Arizona car that is NOT dessimated with rust! It never snows here and hardly even rains. Cars survive well here because of the lack of moisture in the air. Many, many positive attributes in a hard to find 70's classic. The 1970's era eight cylinder ( V8 ) muscle cars are becoming more collectible and I hope this one finds a good home. A Mopar fan should pick this one up, especially at this NR , no res , no reserve price. Not many of the Corboda models that were purchased with the upgraded status remain in existence with most being stripped for the parts after rusting into oblivion. Not many like this were ever made to begin with. This has the even harder to find power sunroof option. The exterior is white with a white top and this model has red interior. The rear seats are leather, while the front seats are cloth (perhaps a product of our 117 summertime temperatures - leather interior will bake your behind - even fine corinthian leather - as Ricardo Montelban once said). This coupe sports an automatic transmission, has power windows, and an upgraded cd stereo ( compact discs not available in 1979 ). Owners manual present too. I believe this 360 engine was an option upgrade in 1979 also and some websites suggest that few cars could beat this car for the 1979 model year as many car companies made wimpy fuel efficient cars in place of the powerful ones ( such as the wimpy 1979 Mustang versions comes to mind ). One site even states that this model year of the Cordoba car "outhandled" (not outraced) all previous Chryslers even the 300 cars. Something of a testament to the 1979 technology verses the 60's models. This car is cool, unique, has the classic lines of the 1970's and does run and drive of course, but since we acquired it as a trade from a new car store, I am INSISTING that it be transported / shipped back to your home state as we have no experience with this 32 year old classic car. I repeat, please transport it back to your home state. Here are a few lowlights: First of all please do not expect a Barrett-Jackson mobile. Realistic expectations need apply. As your parents probably told you, "You usually get what you pay for". I will be selling this unit as TMU (or true miles unknown). So please let's not think that she has 18K miles. Arizona title with Box C miles which means true miles unknown. Please do not bid if you are expecting the Holy Grail of automobiles for this price. This 32 year old has obviously survived over the years, but will require some attention, for instance, the headliner sags (you should replace it), the passenger window jumps off track, the sunroof motor is slow, she smokes some out the tailpipe at cold start up (runs a little rich at first), had a repair performed by some shop in the low right rear corner fender that can be seen up close (not as undetectable as could be), I can't get the trunk key to work, but that may be a good thing as there may be something in it of value (you wouldn't believe the stuff I've found in cars). I'm trying to inform you of things so as not to have anyone regret buying this car. I noticed reverse took a few seconds to engage the other day, but yes it did go into gear. Again, I'm trying to be informative at the risk of possibly scaring folks, but at least these are things I would like to know too before bidding. That brings me to another point. This car will have other suprises too, some may be not great, some may be pleasant. Either way, please do not bid if you cannot live with the fact that it is a used car and it was not my personal car, and we purchased it two days ago as a trade in at a new car store (I saw it there and couldn't resist as I bid on this and several other trade in vehicles at that Scottsdale Arizona dealership). So, all that being said, it will have other flaws, issues and needy items both unseen and seen and those issues will be your issues to fix and take care of. This is a neat old car that I hope goes to a Chrysler fan that appreciates it for what it is. You can drive for a long time and not see another on the road, your neighbor most likely doesn't own one nor never had one, it should rise in value over time in my humble opinion (and many others), it has the true makings of a desirable vehicle, and has that "it" factor that always gets the second look. There is a barber shop across the street from where I took these pictures and three guys came over to look at it while I was taking these pictures. See the $50000 red Lexus in the background, none of them even commented on that car. That's what I mean by the "it" factor. Again, she's not perfect, so no rententive bidders please. No bidding then making demands please. Once you are the high bidder, you own it, so please be respectful of that fact by paying for her in full. We are Kendall's Cars, LLC in Phoenix Arizona and this is a NO RESERVE AUCTION, but only bid if you will fully comply to ALL of the following statements in full: BUYER is responsible for ALL taxes, emissions and vehicle license plating (Arizona sales tax is 9.3% added to the selling price, and out of state buyers are NOT required to pay ARIZONA sales tax WHEN THEY HAVE THE VEHICLE SHIPPED TO THEIR OWN STATE VIA CARRIER. There are no warranties expressed and no warranties implied concerning this vehicle and with this purchase. This is an as-is purchase, if something needs fixing, you are the responsible party PERIOD, so if the car ends up "having a squeek, leak or needs a tweek" then you will be the one addressing any AND ALL issues. seen or unseen, remarked or unstated, either way the high bidder is responsible for any and all repairs. The buyer arranges and pays for shipping and the buyer will receive dealer paperwork that must be signed/completed and overnighted back to Kendall's Cars, LLC. Please no bid and runs. Buyer has 4 days to pay for this vehicle in full at auction's end and the vehicle will not be available for pick-up until the payment has fully cleared OUR bank. Please remember that. We will gladly store the vehicle up to three weeks for you (no longer than 3 weeks please, otherwise storage fees will accrue at $30 per day). No paypal and no credit cards accepted. We are not responsible for errors or ommissions in the ad, if you cannot accept anything written in this ad, then we thank you for looking and ask that you do not bid. Have a friend take a peek at her PRIOR TO YOUR BIDDING if you know of anyone in Phoenix. Wow, this is a No reserve , no res , nr auction. If she sells super cheap then congrats on your purchase! Please, please no bid retractions or auction games either. Thanks for looking at this '79 Cordoba and have a great day folks and happy bidding on this far out automobile !
