OK,THIS 1977 BMW 630 CSI IS A NICE CAR IN THE CONDITION ITS IN NOW SO IT WOULD BE A VERY EASY RESTORE, NO RUST , NO BODY DAMAGE , 100% COMPLETE AND ALL COMPLETELY STOCK UN-MOLESTED EXCEPT FOR THE STEREO. THE REALLY COOL THING ABOUT THIS CAR IS IT WAS MANUFACTURED IN 9/76 AND OUT OF ITS INTENDED ORDER.THE ONLY OTHER CARS MADE THAT MONTH ARE #4 AND #5. CARS #1 AND #2 WERE IN 6/76 AND #3 WAS IN 7/76 NONE IN 8/76 AND #6-#20 IN 10/76 AFTER THAT THEY MADE 100'S PER MONTH. A LONG STORY SHORT , ITS A PRE-PRODUCTION CAR , ONE OF THE FIRST 10 EVER MADE AND ONE OF ONLY 432 MANUAL TRANS , CALIFORNIA MODEL( CODE 5133 ) CARS MADE.THERE WAS A TOTAL OF 1794 630 CSI MADE AND WERE ONLY PRODUCED FOR A YEAR AND A HALF. THE VIN. TAG IS VERY SMALL AND ATTACHED TO THE STEERING COLUM(SEE PICS.) WHITCH IS VERY ODD BECAUSE WHEN YOU REMOVE THE STEERING COLUM COVER THE VIN GOES WITH IT. OK,THAT IS YOUR HISTORY LESSON FOR TODAY , THIS WOULD BE A GREAT CAR TO RESTORE .IT HAS BEEN STORED (INSIDE) FOR A VERY LONG TIME.THE FUEL LINES AROUND THE PUMP AND TANK ARE DRY AND CRACKING, WILL NEED ALL THE FLUIDS CHANGED AND BELT /HOSES ECT. THE TIRES ARE ALMOST NEW AND THE FUEL LINES IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT HAVE BEEN REPLACED. I DONT KNOW ABOUT THE CONDITION OR AGE OF THE CLUTCH.THE BATTERY IS NEW , THE INTERIOR IS ALMOST PERFECT ,THE GLASS IS ALL GOOD, THERE IS ONE SEAM STARTING TO UN-RAVEL ABOUT 1" LONG IN THE BOTTOM OF THE DRIVERS SEAT THE REST IS WELL ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION.SEE PICS.THE PAINT IS ABOUT A 7 OUT OF 10 AND STILL LOOKS GREAT WHEN ITS CLEAN.IT COMES WITH A NEW FRONT BRA AND CAR COVER AND IT HAS A RARE REAR SPOILER. WE CURRENTLY CAN START IT BUT THE STARTER IS NOT DIS-ANGAGING AFTER IT STARTS SO ITS WILL STILL NEED A STARTER AND POSSIBLY A FUEL PUMP.SO PLAN ON TOWING OR TRANSPORTING IT , I AM AVAILABLE TO HELP LOADING ON A TRANSPORT.THE PERSON I PURCHACED IT FROM DROVE IT FOR 5 YEARS AND SAID IT RAN AND DROVE GREAT, BEFORE IT WENT IS TO STORAGE. OVERALL THIS IS A NICE ORIGINAL CAR SO IF YOU LOOKING FOR A GREAT PROJECT CAR OR DAILY DRIVER WITH A MINIMUM AMOUNT OF WORK NEEDED.YOU REALLY WOULD HAVE A HARD TIME FINDING A NICER ALL ORIGINAL CAR WITH A RESERVE THIS LOW.
