Here we have a very nice driver quality trans am. It has been in climate controlled storage of a private collector since it was restored in 1995. He and his son started it as a father son project until the son lost interest. Paint and body are nice however not perfect, the quarter panels have been replaced with 90% panels that go up to the top body line. Body is nice just not lazer straight with a few ripples and waves here and there. Paint is nice with just some dust and orange peel in it. The car was sanded and buffed just not sanded enough to remove all the dust and orange peel. So it does shine nice and looks great going down the road while it turns heads. The floor pans and frame rails in the car are rust free and original panels. It is a real trans am with phs documentation. The engine is a 71 455 but not the original vin stamped block, it does have 197 cyl heads however so it is the ho motor by the info i have found. It is also not the correct air cleaner that would have come on this car. Engine and trans were both rebuilt and have less than 1000 miles on them. All other mechanical has been rebuilt or replaced within the last 3k miles. Car runs and drives excellent and goes anywhere with no issues. The interior is in very nice shape with no major or even minor flaws except for the oil temp and tach do not work. The a/c works just needs to be charged some as the air is not as cold as it should probly be. Overall this is a very nice driving car that is rare as only 2116 of thes trans ams were made and only 1231 of them were automatics. So you can drive this car and enjoy it and later down the road its value will only go up as it is a rare desirable car.
