Vehicle Detail

1979 Mercury Bobcat Station Wagon similar to the Ford Pinto but it is rarer. Pinto Parts fit it and I'm including a few Pinto parts such as the rear cargo mat from a Pinto Station Wagon and a shifter bezel from a Pinto car. A great Christmas gift for that Mercury Bobcat or Ford Pinto enthusiast. This is a car that starts, runs and drives and has Colorado tags from this past year.It is a 2.3 liter four cylinder automatic on the floor. It has air conditioning, rear defroster and a luggage rack. The air conditioning belt was not hooked up when my teenage son and I purchased this vehicle and we have not installed a belt to see if it works so I don't know if it works. This car is over 30 years old so it has some wear and tear consistent with its age. The carpet was removed by the previous owner and my son and I did not replace it. The front bucket seats have seat covers but the original vinyl is torn. The fold-down back seat is in good condition. Like the front bucket seats, the headliner would need to be replaced depending on if you are looking for a driver or to restore it or turn it into a drag car. There are some dings/small dents (not large ones)/scratches/scrapes and some rust but again not large rust areas. The frame and floor pans look good to me. Please look at the pictures and understand that this is a 30+ year old automobile that has been a driver and is still a driver so the condition is consistent with that. Take a look at my feedback and note that it is 100%.The Mercury Bobcat is rarer than the Pinto and I doubt that you can find a running and driving Bobcat Wagon for less than the reserve. My son and I both have other cars and interests and have decided to sell this one. Ask questions as needed and/or ask for more pictures as needed or call me at 720-296-2578. I have other projects and have not had the time to get to this one. I’m selling this locally as well so I reserve the right to end the auction early as allowed by eBay. This vehicle is sold AS IS with no warranties/guarantees. Please do not bid if you are not certain that you intend to buy this. A $300 non-refundable PayPal deposit is required and the buyer will need to make arrangements to pay the remainder and pick up and transport this vehicle. The buyer is responsible for all taxes/fees and pick up and transportation. Ask questions as needed and ask for more pictures. Please ask questions or for additional pictures prior to the last 48 hours of the auction so I will have time to respond.See my feedback and other auctions. I will try to add some current pictures, as these pictures are from this summer but the Bobcat still looks the same. Merry Christmas!! Thanks for looking and Good Luck! On Dec-21-10 at 18:53:32 PST, seller added the following information: I found that it likely needs a heater core. The cost of a heater core is likely below $50.00. Again, this Cool Wagon starts, runs and drives.
