We are proud to offer this stunning and original one owner 1973 Mercedes Benz 280 se 4.5. Produced: (1968-1973) 1973 was the last year of producton for the 280 SE 108 body. This is the last of a production run which makes it the most developed and collectible of this series. This is a 100% rust free California car. It's excellent overall condition is a result of several important factors. First, one owner cars are usually properly maintained for the period of ownership, and this one has full service records. Second, this car has been garage kept which prevents a buildup of UV damage. The doors and hood shut in a unusually solid manner. The body rubber and cosmetic wood trim are all in excellent condition. Our local factory trained Mercedes Benz technician came by to do his customary inspection and adjustment procedure. He commented on the overall outstanding condition of the car and reviewed all of the service records which date all the way back to the 1st Inspection at approximately 700 miles. There are approximately $25,000 in maintenance records. All necessary items have either been rebuilt or replaced. We can see that even during it's first 10-20 years of operation the car traveled between 3,000- 6,000 miles per year, during it's later history it traveled even less. The total mileage of 101,000 is fully supported by the maintenance records. The car drives like a new car. The suspension, brakes, and drive line (engine and transmission) all perform flawlessly. The mechanical, electrical, and climate systems were all working properly when tested. The air conditioning works great and blows strong ice cold air. The heat warms the cabin quickly. All of the gauges show perfect readings and all dash lights and climate control lights illuminate beautifully. The inspection revealed no problems of note and the car can be enjoyed on a daily basis immediately. The cars color is very luminous, which provokes comment from the average person (see photos). The car stands out..... The paint finish shines brilliantly and there are absolutely no dents anywhere whatsoever. The body, chassis, and frame are 100% rust free. The comes with both of it's front and rear "blue and yellow" license plates which verify it's registration history in California since new. All of the brightwork is in near showroom condition.Every owners manual and maintainence book is present.Toothbrush clean engine compartment has no excessive residues anywhere.The original dash is perfect with no imperfections.The everlasting MB-Tex seats show no wear marks and retain there customary firm seating feel. The carpeting, door panles and headliner are all in stunning original condition.The factory original radio works and sounds great!
