Vehicle Detail
I bought this car 2 years ago... believe it or not as a parts car. I have a 1979 Hurst/Olds that needs a few parts. So here is the story.... My mother was in the hospital, I went to visit her and saw this 79 olds in the parking lot. After doing a lap around the car I saw it had all the parts I need in nice, usable condition, so I left a note on the windshield if the owner was interested in selling it, to please call me... 2 months later I got a phone call. The owner was given a car by his family and in the assisted living place he was at he could only have 1 car, so he wanted to see if I still wanted the Olds. I BOUGHT IT! The problem is after I drove the car home and cleaned it up... I felt bad about "chopping it up" for parts. The engine was dealer replaced with a GM reman 4.3 V8 at 80K, the car was inspected and runs awesome (in fact beter the the 350 in the Hurst) so I decided to look for other parts and keep this "survivor" in tact. But I really have no interest in 2 1979 Oldmobiles so.... Thats the story. Now the details Plain Jane Olds 92k Original Miles few dings and dents little rust but SOLID FRAME and floor Headliner sags Power steering pump leaks like new tires and a set of snow tires for the winter has AC but not cold would make a super easy project for a father-son / daughter Pretty sweet car for cruise nights awesome first car, or winter car.... spare car? college student? beater? Hey its cheap do with it what youd like Check out my other auctions.... Im also selling a 1964 Rambler CLEAN TITLE and it runs drives stops, I only mentioned "project" if you want to make a cruiser or show car but really this car IS ready to drive now if you just want a cheap dependable car. *** The more people who ask questions and make me go out and look at the details of this car, for specific things , the more I realize I have WAY UNDER-PRICED this car! IT IS VERY SOLID! Let me make this real easy... If your looking for a serious project you prob dont want this car IT IS too nice. If you are looking for a show car, you prob dont want this car (it needs alittle work) BUT if your looking for an EASY fixer upper hit "buy it now" this is really a simple fix, RUNS and DRIVES super. Looks great, you could fly in and drive it home (anywhere). Low original miles, Remember it was garage kept except for the past 4 years. I included more pics today... the trunk is solid, the doors are solid the interior is dirty but complete/solid (except for the sagging headliner) the only problem areas are the quarter panels which I took pics of for you and they are not bad at all, no welding or cutting needed just alittle putty to smooth out and paint
