Great find, I was at the auction, and this beauty came through. 1971 Mercury Cougar XR7 convertible, which I thought was a really cool car. I had intentions of really dolling it up, but the better half told me I need to sell all the toys. This car has an original 351 CLEVELAND 2bbl carb motor, that runs great. I have done nothing except changed spark plugs and plug wires, changed oil/filter. Very nice car for a total restoration project. THIS CAR HAS AN ACTUAL 88301 MILES ON IT, AND THE TITLE SHOWS IT AS "ACTUAL MILES". Now for the things I've noticed it needs: New convertible top. I noticed the floorpan on the passenger side was a little weak. The car is an all-original car as far as I can tell, so the seats are showing signs of age. The front marker light is broken and needs replaced. Really these are minor things I have noticed for a car this age. Overall, a really great find. A truly, great running, good looking car that I probably wouldn't sell, but it was a condition of buying the new convertible vette.
