SUMMMARY If you are looking for a car with plenty of power that can hold the road like a racecar yet comfortable for a nice Sunday cruise then this is the car for you. This is the first year that the M series was produced by BMW with the original buyer taking every option available at the time. In addition, this car has had many expensive upgrades made to it as noted below along with the additional options noted: Dual heated exterior mirrors 3.2 L Dual Overhead Cam 24-valve-i engine Dual Heated Seats Dual double Exhaust System Dual Power Seats Custom Wheels Alpine Stereo and Sound System (10 CD changer) Tachometer and Analog Clock Leather steering wheel & power shifter Rollover Protection System/Anti Lock Breaks History, Condition and Recent Work The older models of the M series cars have a problem with the rear support bar snapping from the increase in power to the engine and not increasing the support to the rear end. This car had that support bracket break while we owned it and we had it repaired earlier this summer at a cost of $2000.00. It is solid and good as ever now. Even if you do not buy this car beware of this potential liability with them. The car has had routine maintenance over the years with receipts since 2005. The water pump on the car was also replaced this past summer. The convertible top is in good condition and the interior has been maintained and there have never been any smokers with this car. The body does have some minor damage you can see in the pics mostly from the low front end hitting curbs etc. The tires on the rear end are brand new and the front tires need to be replaced.
