1970 Mercedes Benz 280 SL ORIGINAL CALIFORNIA CAR NO RUST(See Pictures of undercarriage) CA Blue Plate Garage kept in Manhattan Beach California for the past 25+ Years Salvage title in the late 1970's. Right rear impact. Car has been repaired. I have most of the body shop receipts for the repairs. The miles appear to be closer to 161728 according to the maintenance records. It's a 5 Digit odometer, so it's difficult to guarantee the mileage. Car appears to have been originally black. It has had the same owner for the past 30 years. 2 OWNER CA CAR Some of the Features of this car include: Hard Top and Soft Top. Soft top is in average condition Original Tool kit and spare tire Original Hard top stand with cover Car cover Original Hubcaps and rims A/C blows, but is not cold Transmission was rebuilt 4 years ago(I have the receipts for the rebuild). Original CA Blue license plate Title in hand Some of the panel gaps on the car are uneven. The front of the hood rubs a little when it is opened. The transmission appears to be fine. It does shift hard into gear, especially when the car is cold, and the car is idleing high. The seats look original. There is some wear on the seats, not too bad for its age. The center console is loose. The chrome on the car looks fantastic. Only a little bit of pitting/tarnish. I took pictures of the undercarriage, and I don't see any signs of rust. There is a little bit of body rot on the passenger side front rail. I am only able to load 24 pictures onto ebay sight, so it you'd like any other photos please let me know. I've taken over 60 pictures of the car. The previous owner was female. She had the car serviced regularly by a MBZ Specialist shop, but she said she's rarely driven the car the past 10 years. She said she'd take it out for very short drives on the weekend to keep the battery charged. The engine feels strong. It smokes a little when it's cold, but goes away once warmed up. The engine is a 2.8L straight 6 Cylinder. The transmission is a 4 speed automatic. I have no idea what this car is worth. I will accept reasonable offers prior to the end of bidding. We have a full service mechanic shop. All of our cars go through a complete pre-inspection process. We check the engine, drivetrain, brakes, tires, and top off all of the fluids.
