Vehicle Detail
BANK REPO from Central Bank in Lebanon, MO. 2001 GMC Sierra 1500, 1/2 ton, Z71 4X4, 4-door extended cab, 5.3 V8, cloth seats. Yes, this truck has a prior salvage title from the State of Missouri. This means it was wrecked and sold by an insurance company. The truck was repaired, inspected by the Highway Patrol, and put back on the road. I do know this truck was fixed about 4 years ago, so it's not something that was done just recently. You will get a title and can register, license and drive it, just like any other car. The only difference is a stamp on the front of your title the says, Prior Salvage Motor Vehicle. EXTERIOR: As you can see, there is some new damage to the front bumper. This is a prime example of why not to text and drive. The debtor said he hit a light pole in a parking lot while texting. It will need a new front bumper, if you want to fix that. Fortunately, he did not set off the air bags. The sheet metal and body is relatively straight. There is rust developing on the rocker panels on the bottom of the cab. Windshield is good. I noticed a little of the paint/clear flaking on top of the cab and passenger doors (pictured). The truck is just dirty and a good washing and waxing would help a lot. Tires all hold air, but are worn out and would be the first thing I replaced. They'll get you home fine, if you choose to drive. INTERIOR: Not bad, just dusty. Cloth seats in good condition. Carpets dirty, but do not appear to be badly stained, etc. MECHANICAL: Starts & runs. Transmission and 4x4 works. A/C is cold. THe only issue I've noticed is the brakes seems to have an issue. The ABS light is on on the dash and it feels like the rear brakes are dragging--kind of like trying to drive with the emergency brake on, but it is not. A person is either going to have to loosen the brakes to drive home, or haul it until the brakes can be fixed. The way it is you will get very poor gas mileage and probably catch the truck on fire. Once the brakes are fixed it should be a fine truck. Overall, I would not be afraid of this truck. My guess is that someone will be able to buy it, make a few repairs, and still have a relatively cheap truck to drive. REPO/NO WARRANTY: The vehicle you are purchasing is a repossession by Central Bank in Lebanon, Missouri. I will give a good description of what I know about the vehicle, but this has not been my personal vehicle and in most cases I do not have a detailed history on the vehicle. All vehicles are sold without warranty expressed or implied. Vehicle has not been safety inspected. Central Bank does not guaranty the vehicle to pass safety inspection. ALL SALES ARE FINAL. There is no negotiation on price after the sale or upon delivery of the vehicle. Bidders are highly encouraged to come and inspect the vehicle before the end of the auction. DO NOT ASK THESE QUESTIONS: 1. Reserve price (on auctions w/a reserve) 2. Amount owed on the vehicle 3. Buy-it-now price 4. I will not end the auction early 5. I will not send second chance offers SCAMS: I do not send second chance offers. If you are contacted buy someone wanting to sell you an item I’ve had listed for a ridiculously low price and willing ship it across the country for $20, IT IS A SCAM. They will likely want you to pay thru Ebay, which does not happen either. If you buy something from Central Bank, your check will be made directly to Central Bank and you can pay for the vehicle when you pick it up. We do not do shipping. You can arrange and pay for shipping on your own, if you so choose. TEST DRIVE: NOT possible. You are welcome to come and inspect the vehicle, start, and drive it around the parking lot, but we DO NOT allow test drives on the street/road under any circumstances. This is not a car dealership. TITLE: Central Bank has a lien-free title for all vehicles. Title to vehicle will be transferred with payment in full, and/or once funds have been verified. All you pay is the high bid amount. No hidden fees. PAYMENT: Central Bank expects payment in full within 7 days of the auction ending. Preferred payment methods are wire transfers, official checks, or money orders. Personal or business checks are accepted, but the title will not be transferred until the funds have cleared your account. SELL TO LOCATIONS: Due to some recent problems with winning bidders from countries outside the USA not completing the transaction, I have restricted sales to the USA. VIEWING: Potential bidders/buyers are welcome to come look at the vehicle before the auction ends. However, it is HIGHLY recommended that you call before you come to make sure someone will be available to show you the vehicle. We are NOT here on Saturdays for vehicle viewing. PICK UP & DELIVERY: Buyer is responsible for getting their purchase to its new home. Arrangements will need to be made in advance. We are closed on Saturdays in the loan office, but do have a drive thru open until noon. We should be able to make arrangements for Saturday pick up as long as you get here before NOON. Weekday pick ups should be by 4:00, unless special arrangements are made. DEPOSIT: No deposit is required if you pay within 7 days. If you are unable to pay and pick up the vehicle within 7 days, we require a 10% or $250 deposit (whichever is greater). FEEDBACK: All bidders with zero (0) feedback must e-mail me before bidding or your bid will be cancelled. Feedback will be left on the buyer’s account once the transaction is completed. CONTACT INFORMATION: E-MAIL is by far the best method of contact. I will reply to e-mails within 24 hours unless a weekend or holiday. I am VERY difficult to get on the phone. You may try to call Central Bank, 9:00 am – 4:00pm, CST, Monday-Thursday, and 9:00am – 6:00 pm on Fridays. Phone (417)-532-2151, ask for Travis, you will probably have to leave a message.
