NO RESERVE! 1970 Karmann Ghia Convertible featuring TWO Stage Paint finished in RM Diamont Starlight Silver, HAARTZ Canvas Top, Dakota Digital Gauges, Four Wheel Disc brakes, Karmann Ghia Prototype Tribute Decklid and 100 horsepower engine. This car was lovingly completed just over two years ago with virtually all elements and components attended to in a rotisserie restoration. Since completion the car has been driven approximately 1000 miles, so it runs and drives superbly. Beautiful Starlight Silver TWO Stage Paint was applied to excellent body lines, then cut and buffed to an illustrious shine HAARTZ Canvas Convertible Top and Boot(covers top when down) done correctly with with Header Bow, Intermediate Bow, Junction Plates, Side Tension Cables and Mohair Headliner all new CB Performance Front and Rear Disc Brakes including Calipers, Rotors, Pads, Brake-lines, Brake-Hoses, Master Cylinder and Reservoir Dakota Digital Ion Series Gauges (see Dakotadigital.com for all features) Velor interior with Custom Shift and E-Brake Boots ONE of a Kind Front and Rear Grilles, Turn Signals and Vents were built FOR THIS CAR! All components are aluminum except the Rear Grille which is Stainless Steel. Front vents were welded shut along with the body trim holes making a stunning, truly unique vehicle, tastefully done while remaining complementary to the factory lines. The Engine is a strong running VW 1.8 8V water-cooled JH series( 100 HP give or take) from a VW Cabriolet with Lifters, Timing Assembly and Alternator just replaced. Weber 32/36 Carburetor and Custom Exhaust set it off just perfectly in the engine compartment. The engine weight is almost exactly identical to the air-cooled model so handling performance is not in the least compromised.Turbochargers, air conditioning and performance upgrades for this platform are affordable and readily available to make this car as hot as you want! A VW 16V and other VW engines will bolt right in to the existing adapter plate if one so desired. Remember, All the Hard work has been done (beautifully plumbed water lines and dual front & rear cooling fans) so if you preferred a different engine (WRX, RX7 etc..) it could easily be bolted in. CB Drop Spindles AND Adjustable front end to get the PERFECT RIDE HEIGHT for you! OTHER NOTABLES: Replaced FLOOR PANS, FRONT and REAR DUAL COOLING FANS, TRW Steering Box, Ball Joints,Tie -Rods, All Wheel Bearings, KYB Shocks, CV JOINTS, Gas Tank, Mangel Wheels, Excellent Tires, Quick Shift Kit, Quick Steer Kit , High Torque Starter, Rebuilt Door Hinges and TONS of new seals! Literally TOO MUCH TO LIST! OPPORTUNITIES: There are a few minor imperfections in the paint consisting of some small chips and a few tiny bubbles around the rockers(see photos barely visible as I had to lay down to get pictures). The heater is accessed by easily removing the fan shroud at which point hot air comes up to defrost the windshield. An electric or conventional heater could easily be installed but I had the car built for drives on sunny days so I never cared! There are some windshield wiper burns on the passenger side of the windshield which I never replaced for sentimental reasons.
