The 300d Adenauer is one of the most desired postwar Mercedes Benz collectible Vintage cars of today. As a vintage Benz collector, and a 300 Adenauer fan that has owned several 300 cars, this particular car happens to be a favorite, simply because of the rare option of a huge Webasto, steel sunroof. Out of a total production of 3077 300d cars between 1957 and 1962, only 114 units were built with sunroof and this is one of them. This car is worthy of restoration, it is as good as as it gets with the exception of the 300d 4 door Cabriolet, of which only 65 units were built. The sunroof 300d cars are extremely rare and to find one in a complete and restorable condition is a collector's dream come true. This 300d Adenauer is a complete car that recently ran with direct fuel feed to the fuel injection pump, the engine ran well when started. Mechanically, this car has the original drivetrain, everything underhood is complete. The car is equipped with power Steering, which makes driving an Adenauer a fun thing to do. It is also equipped with a fuel injection system, making the 300d very dependable. This car is a good candidate for restoration, all chrome, wood and glass are all there and in very good condition, the body and frame are in very good condition. This car is complete, I have an original Becker Mexico radio that will be shipped with this car to the next owner.
