Vehicle Detail
1969 Dodge Charger, Project 383. This car is a project car ready for some fun rebuilding. I bought this car about 10 years ago and totally stripped it down and started restoring it. Unfortunately, I have a new family and just don't have the time to devote to this awesome muscle car. Let me first tell you all the new parts: NEW FLOOR PANS (front and back), NEW TRUNK PANS (both center and 2 sides), NEW REAR VALANCE, NEW REAR FRAME RAILS, NEW FULL REAR QUARTERS, NEW END CAPS, all from Year One Auto. As you can see, I started working on this car from back to front. The front fenders are in good condition and don’t need to be replaced. Car has original doors and glass, original trunk lid and hood. All currently removed from the resto. The interior is also dismantled. Interior parts saved: driver's seat (with headrest), back bench seat, dash and center console, heating/ac unit. (door panels and hardware, headliner brackets also saved) Car will need a new interior installed and new wiring. Now for the engine: Car was originally a 318 from the factory, however somewhere in its life a 383 big block was put in. The engine does turn and is currently out of the vehicle on an engine stand (goes with the new owner). Automatic transmission also. Car has original grille and headlights, taillights with it. With any restoration project, you're going to have to find some parts here and there. There are TONS of places to find aftermarket, including eBay. Car does not have a title, however in most states one is not needed to register a car of this age. I really wish I could keep this car, but both time and room are of the essence. All pans and trunk panels that are new were installed by a professional auto body shop. The car has been stored inside for the last 10 years while I've owned it and never stored outside. Note about the photos below. The photos show the car in various stages of resto. The first ones are when I got it, and the progression of work done on it. The last two photos show its current storage state. As you can see... space is tight and I have to part with this Charger. Good luck, Happy Holidays, and Happy Bidding!
