Up for sell is my 1968 FJ 40 Toyota Land Cruiser. The restoration of this FJ is close to being completed and I hate to let it go but kids college tuition has become priority! The FJ was painted a year ago with the same metallic copper color that Land Rover uses and I would consider it a "B" grade paint job. The hard top is adorned outside with a uv protected liner while the inside has a new headliner that cuts down on road noise and looks great. The fender well and underside of hood were lined by the previous owner and I recently had all of the interior floor boards, door panels and roll bars professionally lined as well. The front bench seat and the two rear jump seats have been reupholstered and in very good condition. I have also replaced the all of the door hardware as well. Under the hood is a 1972 Chevy 350 motor, 3 speed manual transmission with a new exhaust system installed a year of so ago. The previous owner installed new lockouts(Warn) , radiator, alternator, roof rack, grill guard, custom swing-away spare tire holder. Also included is the auxiliary fuel tank (uninstalled) and a black bikini top. The instrument panel needs new glass, small tear on the back of one of the jump seats and occasionally the transfer case shifter will pop out of gear (needs adjusting). The only rust that I can find is on the frame but it is only surface rust that at some point could be sprayed with a new a undercoat and would be ready to go another 20 years! That said, at some point in its life the undercarriage was sprayed with a liner and it has done a great job protecting it to this point. The mileage listed is what is on the odometer but I can't say if that is original or not. According to the prior owner, the vehicle lived in Arizona for the bulk of its life, which is the reason the body is in such good shape compared to other FJ's of this age.
