Vehicle Detail
Attention all brick lovers! Take a look at this very clean 1990 240 DL Wagon. It's got only 104K miles, and runs and drives great. It's equipped with the 5-speed manual transmission (5 actual gears, not like the older 4-speed + overdrive) - you don't see too many of these around. It's also pretty well optioned with power windows, locks, cruise control and heated seats. No third seat. All of the seats are in great condition, no splits, tears, stains, etc. They look new! The radio has been removed. Heat works great, blower motor works on all speeds. Cruise works. I have the owners manual & maintenance records book. Underneath the car, the motor splash pan is still in place (unusual to find), and the motor and transmission are dry - no rear seal leaks. The front heat shield on the exhaust is loose, and rattles at times. The rear muffler is gone, front muffler has a hole in it - the exhaust system from the cat back runs $150. The brakes are at 50% to 60% wear, tires are at 40% wear. Springs, struts and shocks are all good. Under the hood, the motor shows no leaks, cooling system is good - there's the usual very slight seepage at the water pump (no drips) - if you know these cars, you know what I mean! There is a timing belt replacement sticker on the timing belt cover, but it doesn't show mileage. This vehicle was purchased at an auction of donated vehicles. It spent some time in California, which explains the clean body, and also the missing clear coat on the hood and tops of the fenders! It has a small dent in the front of the left rear wheel well (pictured). I've personally driven this car over 1,000 miles, and it runs great. Once you get up to speed, it's a nice road car. I've averaged 27mpg in mixed driving. The clutch works great - no slippage at all. You could drive this car for a long time without doing anything to it. The exhaust is slightly louder than normal, but not obnoxious. This vehicle is being sold as-is, with no warranty express or implied, but check our feedback and bid with confidence! If you're a fan of Swedish bricks, don't miss this rare 5-speed wagon! We are a licensed dealer in Illinois. Illinois residents will pay 6.25% sales tax, and a $100 doc fee.
