Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 RARE 1969 {66,000 actual miles} MUSTANG WITH GT FACTORY OPTIONS/ LOADED! Here is something that you don’t see every day! A LASER STRAIGHT 1969 FACTORY UNMOLESTED 2 OWNER MUSTANG! 1969 has to be one of the best years for Ford when you are considering the Mustang. Up for auction is a true documented 66,000 mile extremely unique classic pony. This car is a true time piece! The gentleman who purchased it initially drove it for about 3 years {as the story goes}. He was enlisted with the Armed services and called to duty by the Army so he left his pride and joy behind. The car was tucked away in the garage for approximately seven years. When he returned the 1979 Mustang was a smash hit in the states so he purchased one and sold the ole 69 pony. The second owner purchased the car and he enjoyed it for a few years. However after being diagnosed of having a heart condition he rarely used the Mustang. Subsequently he parked it in his garage {covered/stored} from 1997 until 2010 {13 plus years}. He drained the fluids and took the wheels off before he put it away. The last oil change sticker is still present on the windshield & it indicates the next date of service was to be 1998 or 69,000 miles. A good friend of mine told me that the now 72 year old owner was considering selling the car. At a later date I was given permission to stop by and check it out {still covered}! Needless to say I was very impressed. After coming to terms with him we started the car a few days later. Of course a new battery was needed and some carburetor cleaner was applied as well. At any rate the old thoroughbred started up {although it smoked for a couple of minutes} and ran at an idle perfectly! This Mustang runs the exact way it was designed to when she left the factory. It will still bark the tires if it is provoked to. There have only been a few engine parts replaced {most were replaced not because they needed it, but for preventative maintenance}.The battery, starter, thermostat, wires, and plugs were not long ago. The radiator has been replaced as well with a heavy duty high capacity cooling one. This Mustang is beyond road worthy & it should be considered mechanically sound. The factory [F-Code 302] Motor and original [C-4 Cruise-O-Matic] Transmission are both the original equipment. IT IS AN ABSOLUTE PLEASURE TO DRIVE! This 1969 FORD Mustang is also rock solid and absolutely gorgeous! It has a beautiful Candy Apple red exterior that is complimented by factory black standard interior. The overall fit & finish of this classic Mustang is extremely nice and it truly must be seen to be appreciated. It has only been repainted once outside of the original factory covering. The second owner told me how he agonized over the sheer thought of changing the original color while the car was being prepped for paint. However he believes he made the right choice & I do too. The factory color of this pony was called Aztec Aqua {which is actually pretty rare} it is a love or hate color. He researched factory exterior colors for the year & decided to go with the 1969 {T-Code} Candy Apple red paint. It is the exact shade for the year & it has a lot of depth, so it is also nice and shinny. There are only a couple of minor chips/ scratches to speak of. You will be very happy to take this Mustang out to the local shows! All of the body lines come together extremely well. The doors shut tight, the windows are on track & the hood fits as it should. The original windshield & the other surrounding glass are in great shape with no chips/cracks present {they still have the factory Ford insignia on them}. The dash pad is in superb condition as well. There are a couple of very small marks or indentations on the outside edge of the trunk. They aren’t significant enough for anyone to be alarmed about, however I want to make mention of it. The original rare 7A code {Black Vinyl bucket} interior is in amazing condition and cockpit area shows extremely well. The interior has been used sparingly so almost none of the original components have been replaced. The door panels, carpet, seat upholstery, door handles, window regulators, and quarter trim still basically look new! There is one little seam separation on the driver’s side that you almost won’t notice unless someone pointed it out to you. This Mustang still has its original Ford Mo. Co. seat belts. It came ordered with shoulder belts that hang from the roof rails also. The brilliant black vinyl top {a $200.85 option in 1969} is in fantastic shape and it is compliments this pony extremely well! Authentic yet brand new 15x8 Magnum 500’s and wide track BFG performance radial tires provide good handling for the car & gives this 69 an extra aggressive look {receipts included}! Tires and wheels are less than two weeks old. I wanted the car handle better than it looked {if that were possible} so I had the shocks & ball joints replaced. This one also has front and rear sway bars that make this Mustang handle better than most. It has just gone through a 10 point inspection and a complete over all check as well. Needless to say it was given a clean bill of health. I have a black GT side stripes that I will be including with the sale of the car. I purchased the set with the intention of using them; however I could never force myself to do so. I didn’t want to alter the cars originality {although I believe they would look awesome on the vehicle}. Throaty sounding Dual Exhaust along with Flowmaster two chamber performance mufflers gives this Mustang a nostalgic muscle car growl! One of the most interesting characteristics regarding this unique Mustang is the factory Mach 1/Gt hood scoop & its factory sport mirrors! One would expect to see this equipment on a Mach or a GT; however it is far from common place to find them on a hardtop {shown on dealers order}. The dealer invoice is still in my possession along with a litany of additional paperwork that shows this pony was produced this way. I also have the, 1: Factory Warranty Card. 2: Original Owners manual 3: Lien of release that was satisfied in 1972! 4: Warranty booklet & too much more to list. Thoroughly documented… truly a special pony! This one still has working side markers, head lights, blinkers, wipers, dash lights and exterior lights that all function as they should. The original Ford {assy C9ZB 160664} beautiful Mustang hood scoop in place “that’s free from any damage”! The hood scoop indicators still work as well. Born in Dearborn and delivered to Granite City, this stallion was sold at B E HOHLT INC. Ford here in Illinois. It is surprising that it never left home. It is rare for a 40 plus year old car to spend that amount of time in one area. It has a super solid under body with absolutely no rust or rot issues! The under body & structure of this car provides more evidence of it being a low mileage vehicle that has been sheltered. This 69 Mustang also has super nice chrome and beautiful factory exterior moldings throughout. Factory power steering, power front disc brakes, and Selectaire Air Conditioning {more great factory options for this model}! I replaced the bumpers with new ones. That being said the original bumpers are in great shape. I think I just got carried away with my zeal to make this car perfect. I will be including the originals with the sale. Garaged and covered {car cover included}. This Mustang is ready to be driven and enjoyed! It is very responsive and a blast to drive or cruise. Too many good things to say about this nice Mustang and not enough time to say it. At the end of the day I am sure that the new potential owner will be more than pleased with this classic Mustang. Here you can have a NICE 1969 pony that is sure to continue to appreciate and capture the same attention as Machs, GTs, etc… at a fraction of the price of those cars! I think that I have received more questions & compliments about this car than I ever had with my previous classic Mustangs.
