MUST SELL NOW!!! NO RESERVE!!! This is "Miss Daisy," our numbers-matching 1951 Plymouth Cranbrook 4-door Sedan. She runs and drives great, and is very dependable.....60 y/o or not! Since I'm getting ready to say goodbye to her, I've gone a few weeks now using her as a dependable daily driver to work and back. She does just fine as a daily driver. This car is a blast to drive. The breaks are PERFECT (one of the things I insisted on when I took it to my mechanic after buying her....Coleman's Auto, Carmel, IN). The engine has been very reliable, and does not smoke AT ALL , even on start-up or seem to burn any oil (though she will spot in the drive when driven frequently). Wipers, lights, signals, break lights, all doors and latches, and all windows and window vents, and heater/defroster all work (though 1951 heaters were not very efficient, to be honest). The radio does not work. I think one of its tubes is burnt out (yes, I'm serious). Tires have plenty of tread left on them, but look a little dry. I suspect she was in storage for a while on them before I bought her this past Summer. This would also explain the low miles on her. This car is an easy car show car, though not in perfect cosmetic shape. She does have a crack on the window of the driver's side door that goes all the way up, and a noticible ding on the right side. But she generally looks really great; turns almost every head she passes, and could be driven to a car show as-is. The paint has a few touch-ups, and much of the chrome could use some shining up or re-plating some day. This car could be anything from an unusual driver, to a full referbish for a competition car. I think I read they were only made from '51-'53. This car could be trailored, but it IS in good enough shape to be driven home (depending upon how many miles you want to put on it...it currently only has 57,850 actual, original miles on it). Test drives will be available by appointment right up until the afternoon of the auction's end (Sunday, Dec 5th). If you can be anywhere near the Indianapolis area (or arrange to have a representitive meet me, such as a mechanic), I would be happy to meet you and also to allow any licensed driver over 25 (insurance) to take her for a spin.
