Vehicle Detail

Hello you are looking at a 1967 Mustang S code ( 390 Cubic Inch ), 4 Speed GT Fastback . 1967 was the first year for the big block in Mustangs . This car has been in a dry garage in Bronx , New York since 1978. It was driven up until 1982 and then put back in the same garage and not touched until 6 months ago when I purchased the car and brought her back to life . She definately has an old school / retro look with side the side pipes and raked up rear end. At some point before 1978 she was raced at Westhampton Drag Strip in Long Island NY , ( Still has the sticker on rear glass ) This is a REAL GT with lots of factory options verified with a Marti Report which is included and listed below. Original options when built March , 21 1967 in Metuchen New Jersey : GT Equipment Group , 4 speed Manual Transmission , Limited Slip Differential ( 3.25) , F70-14 Wide Oval Tires with White Sidewall Nylon, Lower Back Panel Grill ( very rare ) , Console, Sport Deck Rear Seat, AM Radio, Exterior Decor Group , Tinted Glass, Deluxe Seat Belts, Styled Steel Wheels, As you can see from above this car came factory equiped with lots of toys and most of them are still on the car. The original 390 engine is not in the car but I have a correct 1967 GT 390 engine that can be purchased separatly if you wish ( 1967 was the only year big block mustangs , had date coded and not vin coded motors, so as long as the date code is correct it is considered correct ) You can purchase motor I have your find a date coded motor or use any Big Block Ford , 427 , 428 , 429, etc. . She currently has a 1968 302 engine in it ( casting number C8AE-6015-B) dated coded 8D3 , It has 289 heads on it with a dual point distrutor , Edelbrock 4 barrel intake with a Ford remanufactured carburtor on it, It has headers on it that connect to real Thrush side pipes. ( They sound great ) . This motor is built and only has about 2000 miles on it and runs great . burns no oil and starts and idle's nicely with a thump from the exhaust. It comes with it's original 4 speed transmission and belhousing that is not installed in the car and is shown in the parts picture. It has the correct casting numbers and tag ( RUG M 2 ) ( C70R-7A040-A , W , 2 ) , The original bell housing carries a casting number ( C6OA-6394-D with a date code ( 6M12 ) The 4 speed that is installed in the car currently is also a 1967 Mustang( casting number C7OR-&A040 - W1 -A )( Rug M2)( 022920) shifts nicley at speed threw all gears with a Hurst drag shifter with a separate reverse knob. The rear end is not original and does not make and humming or ratcheting noises. It has it's original GT 4 piston power front disk brakes that work well and it's original GT front sway bar. I made a 6 minute youtube video that shows here running and driving in which you can hear it idle and it sounds great . You can view the view on this link at www.youtube.com/watch?v=xmxgmkThtE8 or just to to youtube and search 1967 Mustang GT 390 Fastback Connecticut or my youtube username 6767Shelby This Mustang GT has all 3 of it's orginal body ID tags ,(shown in pictures ) 1) driver front apron stamped into body 7T02S218233 2) Body buck tag that stamped into a rectangular plate and attatched to driver side apron near hood hinge with these numbers , ( C/0 555, 32 C 20 7T02S 218233 , 63A 1 2G , ET 4 Speed , SK Pio DBMC , FD , 3 ) Driver Door Tag with these numbers , 7T02S218233 , 6AA - color ( I ) , Trim ( 2G) Date ( 22C ) DSO ( 13) Axle ( D ) , Trans ( 5) , The speedometer shows 15,761 miles . I would assume that this is 115,761 miles but I would say there is a chance that it could be original 15,761 miles because of the no rust and race history and documentation that it's been in a garage not being moved since 1983 . ( see picture of the day I found it in the Bronx. ) This GT came originally with Lime Gold Paint and has only painted once with the burgundy speckle paint you see in the current pictures The current paint is great in some places and has cracked and flaked off in others. It carries ALL of it's original sheet metal from front to back. It shows evidence that the rear passenger quarter was hit lightly in the back and repaired . It does have some bondo in the bottom of each of the orginal rear quarters. The hood is the optional original turn signal hood and has an after market hood scoop on it . The trunk is original with a small hole near the rear edge . It has all of it's original floors and torque box with a small patch on the passenger side, driver seat front, top side. ( see you tube view which shows this) The underside sheet metal is good ( see pictures) . The chrome on the car is decent with some pits and dings, The front bumper is actually NOS 1982 that I just installed . It has it's orginal rear lourver panel which is a supper rare option and this car is documented as having it new .. The front windshield has a crack and it has all of it's original factory tinted glass which is also very rare. It came originaly with Ivy Gold Interior and is currently black with it's original headliner and visors. I have included some extra rear interior pieces shown in pictures, It It had It has it's original 6000 RPM tach dash that works well and it's original GT fog light switch which works as well as it GT wiring harness . The dash board has no cracks and it has it's original radio. It also has it's original deluxe seat belts. I have the original registration from August , 15, 1978 from the registered owner who is currently 83 years old that I purchased it from as well as a couple of receipts from 1978 . If your looking for a documented, hightly optioned real 1967 GT S Code 4 speed fastback this car may be for you . It has not been wrecked and put back togther , , or sat in a field or been apart for 20 years. This cars runs and drives well and you can take it today to a cruise night or ice cream and work on it as time and money permits . This also would be canidate for someone that wants to do a full concours restoration because you are starting with a straight not molested car with all the correct tags and heritage. It may be a great Christmas present for you husband / dad / etc...... There are lot of things you can do with it but at the end of the day you still have a the real deal with the numbers and documentation that will always increse in value as time goes by no matter what you do with it.. I took tons of pictures and can email further pictures to anyone . The car can be view in person in Brookfield Connecticut , 06804 at any time . Please call or email with any questions. You can try again with this link that should be correct. I also say that the tranmission is a 1965 in the video and it is a 1967 that is installed in the car.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XmxgmkThtE8 Thanks Rick
