Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 1975 Fiat X 1/9, VIN 128AS0033005. Does not run. I started it once when I first got it, but it quit and would not restart. I did not go any further, except to remove carburetor and use it on another vehicle. This car was a California car. I was told by the owner, who used it in rally’s, that PBS built the engine. I do not have any proof of that, but PBS might have records http://www.pbseng.com/ The car does have some kind of timing box inside presumably for the timed rallies. The car is mostly complete and straight, except for carb and some vents. I strongly suggest you come and see it. I did not inspect the entire car for defects; I will leave that up to you. It has a clean title. Mileage is not known, title shows 3570. If there is an area you want to know about, email me and I will try to enlighten you. At the price I am offering it for, I will not guarantee anything. It is a very good deal for the person who wants a project or for spare parts. It looks bad, but it is mostly dust. I will try to find the original wheels for it, no guarantee; I need to remove my 69 sport coupe wheel that is on it. The tires are bad, and might not hold any air. I do not see any major damage, and all the glass is good. This has the 1300cc engine that was preferred, because the short stroke allowed it to be revved to 10,000 rpm and higher. Handling is excellent due to the mid-engine design. It also makes a great Electric Car. Facts about the X 1/9 can be found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fiat_X1/9 I also have a running 1500cc 86 Bertone I will be selling shortly.
